Ha! Totally understandable. But I’ve never lost anything in iCloud drive, and I’m running two kinds of local backup, daily.
Anyone else having issues with Koala crashing GarageBand on iOS since the most recent update the other day? Any song that has a track using Koala, GarageBand immediately crashes. If you open it, try to save it, try to merge the track or even delete the track, GB crashes. I’m basically stuck in a perpetual cycle of crashes for the last two days. I’ve tried offloading GB and redownloading it to no avail. Just curious if anyone else has come across this issue.
I don't tend to host Koala, but did have what sounds like a similar issue with Decent Sampler and Garageband following an update to Decent Sampler. I found that duplicating the project would let me open the new copy without crashing, but it would still crash if you tried to press play. I ended up copying projects, then going in them and duplicating the Decent Sampler track - copying the track over and then deleting the old track got things working okay. Might not be the same issue but worth mentioning.
Aw right on, that’s a great idea and I’m embarrassed to admit that it didn’t cross my mind. I appreciate the reply. I’m gonna give it that a try.
Maybe it’s deleted old stuff and I haven’t noticed!
Anyone else having issues with quality of monitored audio since the update? I have tested on different devices and iOS versions and on the latest update, I get artifacts and a rhythmic ticking noise in monitored audio. The ticking noise adjusts volume dynamically with input sound and clicks in time like interference from a system clock or metronome (which is off). It isn't present when playing the recording back so is only affecting the monitoring of input sound. Happens on iPhone 15 plus (17.7), iPad mini 7 (iOS 18.1). Didn't happen on either system prior to updating. Any new settings I have missed that need adjusting for monitoring quality?
If you haven't done so yet, it's best to contact them directly via their support page. I've found they're pretty good at getting back to you. https://www.koalasampler.com/contact/
