    Whats the keyboard for.

If I recall theres keys in the other tb eq.

So I guess not midi eq?

Where you might play and edit eq keys, in a daw editor lol.

I cover that - and most other stuff - in my YouTube vid btw Sigma!

  • The bundle pricing makes sense. Thanks for giving us that option. Made the choice to upgrade straightforward for me.

    Appreciate vid.

  • Why no patches? I like when the TB apps come with some basic presets for mixing certain instruments or busses, or mastering…

For some reason, I swear it off for me. I explain it to people all the time, but it’s never been below $7.99 which is what I think I paid, and my was $12.00. Never completed another TB bundle, in the States, so… mine is definitely off. I’m sure the vast majority if not all are correct, but I’ve never seen this before. I received $5.99 off the bundle price after purchasing the original TB EQ years ago. It has never been that low unless appraven is off too.

App doesn't seem to have any presets at all except one preset and the default preset. Anyone got any different behaviour?

Yea I missed your comment. None here either, and was truly hoping it had some templates and useful patches.

Has anyone tried sharing patches from the original to the new one?

I'll post this again because the preset loader is little confusingly different from prior TB plugins:

You have to "Load" the preset in. Tapping on the "Current program" just shows favorites... But yes, you need to load them in with the "Load" button.

I search my purchase history and referenced it against AppRaven. My discount was $7.00. The math checked out. TB Equalizer intro price was $5.99! Most purchased at that price.
TB Equalizer has been 5 price points:

    $5.99 (intro)
    $7.99
    $8.99
    $10.99
    $13.99

Check to see when you purchased..I’m sure it will line up. AppRaven doesn’t take intro pricing into account. Of course your country, its currency and exchange rate matters here as well. Here’s mine for example

I had a look. I think the maths work in the favour of people who bought the TB Equalizer more recently. I bought it in 2019 for $9.99 AUD. The complete bundle is $34.99AUD. To complete the bundle I am paying $20 AUD for TB Pro which is essentially the full price of the app. So for me there is no discount. All cool. This makes the current price $14.99 for the TB EQ. So I guess my bundle discount of $5 AUD was given to me back in 2019. You’re right, it probably was the intro price being 2019. As I said it is not a big issue I just wanted people to be clear that just because it is a bundle doesn’t guarantee that there will be any discount as has been shown time and again with bundle offers when you acquire apps included in the bundle at a lower price point than what they are in the bundle.

Note: There is also the ‘TB Equalizer Bundle” on offer as well!! The bundle is the best way to get Pro at the best price!

    ☝️

Is this true, I guess it is as the price doesn’t change. I have the original TB EQ and for me the bundle price doesn’t improve the purchase price of the pro version.

I’m not complaining, I’m just clarifying the statement because I believe this could be a little misleading.

I had the old TB EQ and just bought the new Pro version in the bundle for only 4$

  • I bought the old app for USD 5.99 in 2019, completing the bundle was USD 12.00, which adds up with what we expect from App Store bundles (17.99 - 5.99 = 12.00)

When people check their receipts I expect they will find it adds up exactly as you’ve explained it plus the usual Apple variance for currency exchange.

I also think that anything under $20 looks like exceptional value for such a fully featured and progressive EQ. Just the transient and sustain features alone put this into Eventide Split EQ territory which is really cool for iOS.

  • @Mountain_Hamlet appraven said it was at $5.99 at some point. If so then that’s the only explanation there can be… I didn’t see the $5.99 and I specifically looked for the pricing. Weird, but at least now I know what most likely happened.

Yea so it was one again as bundle pricing always seems to be human error, lol. I thought I check all the prices and didn’t see $5.99. Which is what lead to my confusion.

Trust me I know the bundle system more then most and this is the first time it has ever thrown me for a loop.

    Solved.

I was using appraven price history not my own app purchase information which I completely forgot you can do. I went back to 2019 and I did in fact pay $5.99 for the OG TB EQ. I did not recall it ever being that low, and from what I saw on apppraven it was never below $7.99. Thanks @ninobeatz I didn’t realize appraven didn’t include intro pricing. That’s what sold me on the issue.

    From August 2019

  • Sorry for the interruption and confusion with the bundle pricing. Usually I’m the one explaining it to others, but it got me this time.

There they all are, I’ve inadvertently created a bit of confusion with this app and I apologize to everyone.

The Pricing is right, the patches are there, and I’m so happy they released this app.

Right on, well a big thanks to you as well @NeuM I figured I was missing something. I’m all over the place, lol, This app for some odd reason really threw me for a loop, lol. Cheers mate.

  • So we do you all think of the actual app? Is it worth the upgrade?

;) It threw me off as well the first time I looked at it.

  • Anyone still use Scaler EQ? That one didn’t get used on my iPad. This one looks more interesting, but mostly happy with Q3 or DDMF 6144.

  • You can look at your purchase history to see what you actually paid for any app.

My vid covered the new features in detail and there is also a very detailed chart on their site showing what's new. I'd say it's worth upgrading for things like the new filter types, especially the transient / sustain ones, EQ matching, loudness matching and more. But: only if you're actually likely to use these. If the old one has been sitting unused, the new one will probably also sit unused! For sure tho, it is a very significant upgrade.

    LOL. 😀

  • Wow ! Just WOW. That EQ is a real toolbox ! I just used it extensively in a mixing /mastering project and it made such a difference instantly and replaced a lot of other tools effortlessly.

Sidechain ? yep. Mid-Side processing? Yep. Multiband compression ? Yep. Transiant design? Yep.

Just noticed a few bugs with the values displayed when adjusting gain reduction but nothing showstopping.
