dang.. Looks like something massive.
Definitely looks like a new self contained DAW / Groove Box full of Jim Audio past creations and goodness. GROOVE RIDER 2 !
A Loopy Pro competitor?
Hoo boy! I see audio loops and clips and Audio Units and Poison …
C’mon Jim - stop torturing us and release this thing!
Looks like all Jim’s apps coming together in one mega groove box on acid! I don’t use his apps often, but every time I do, I smile and have fun
This dudes shit is so Aggro, I love it.
be safe out there big dog.
Looking good!!! 🥲🫡
I actually don't see evidence of AUv3 host support here. I kind of get the impression that GR2 gives you embedded versions of Poison 202 and Pure Acid synth engines. Which is cool enough! But I don't get the impression it's an AU host.
Me too. I think it looks like one mega groove box not a AU host. Hope so, as I’ve got host apps coming out my ears lol. A super groove box looks like a lot of fun.
You're right, aside, maybe, from the plug-shaped icons. The previous teaser did feature a list of third-party plugins though.
I can't remember that I ever missed AUv3 support in a hardware groovebox
Yep, sometimes a closed box can be fun, as long as it is either AUv3 multi out itself or has stem record and share. Love a good blast on a groove box every now and then. I used to have an EMU Command Station and that was so much fun.
Those Logic Style Loops are throwing me for a loop…. I won’t finish this pun.
It is, as confirmed by @RajahP
(Blurry screenshot is his.)
I'm...pretty sure Troublemaker wouldn't be integrated natively into this new GR-like app, lol.
Oooooooooooooooooh!!!
Oh wow auv3 host version of GR!?! Sick
Prodigy!
Take my money Jim Audio
I hope Jim Audio releases this new app tomorrow, lol. Especially with this new video confirming it indeed hosts AUv3 plugins? It looks like a DAW, or at least a pimped out GR-16 on steroids that puts BAM to shame. Despite all the visuals swiftly showing off glimpses of different features of the UI, the demo music is what sold it to me. Lately, I'm a sucker for that synth-based music like that.
video confirmed that back in October
I must've missed that, lol. 😂 Well, regardless, I'm happy that this new app hosts AUv3s. Might be the "Nanostudio killer" for me as I said elsewhere.
I actually prefer grooveboxes without auv3 because that gives us instant project preview/loading/switching
GR-16 if I recall can do that in case you don't want AUv3. I'm not even sure this new app is a groovebox. Seems more of a DAW app.
Cool! Can’t wait to see this one in the wild!
Same, mate. That demo music in the video is 👌 perfecto! I need this app now. 😂
Midi and audio clips? Timeline? Auv3 host? Looks amaze. Maybe some good non subscription Logic competition.
Please record MPE, please record MPE, please record MPE... 🙏🏽
Schweet!
Well, for me personally, despite the bugs I encountered, Logic Pro is tough to beat. Cubasis 3 is a decent non-sub alternative imho.
But regarding competition for Nanostudio 2 (my personal favourite DAWlike app), JimAudio's upcoming app seems to be shaping up to be its replacement. 🫣 Especially if this new app has audio tracks, proper automation, a decent sample browser, and...
...MPE too!
LUFS natively on the master meter……
Speachless... this will be really BIG
for most ppl maybe just irrelevant detail but i absolutely love the level of sense for UI detail @jimpavloff has ... this rounded button got me.
Entire UI in video looks absolutely stunning.
