Insane deal on Musio1 perpetual license.

Musio have stopped selling Musio1, they’ve switched to selling libraries individually inside the app so this is a steal and there are no drawbacks to it — you get all the cinesample stuff bar a couple of the newest releases for the price of a single library and it’s not like it will be deprecated as you’re buying libraries not the plugin.

I ran and grabbed it. Thanks a lot for making me break my “I’ve already spent enough” decision. :-)
Honestly though, the amount and quality of content is crazy!

It really is. Any one of the bigger Cinesamples libraries included cost more than the entire bundle. There are some real gems in there. I used a lot of it on my Klownshed Album recently, especially the more Nordic sounds such as the Iceland library and Men/Women of the North choirs.

They've also recently added multi-mics to many of the libraries which makes them even better.

Just wondering what this is - is it a player for these libraries: https://store.cinesamples.com/

Or can you skip that app and just use them in your own version of Kontakt?

Also, does it require installing any additional software that has to be activated or checked online each time they’re used?

Cheers, looks like a great deal if I can just use the libraries direct in Kontakt, without having to install anything else, or be linked to an online subscription check.

For the United Plugin sale, a lot of the 'Core' plug-ins are very cheap, £3-£4. Buying those will get you a reduced price on the full version which could be a lot less than even the discounted sale price.

For example, buy Cybercore Drive for £3 and you can then get the full version for £9 -- which is less than the £17 it is even at 75% off in the sale. Plus if you're a new customer, use the code UP4063798 for an additional 20% off and you'll then get cash back (I think -- I did with my first order when I was a new customer) to make it free as I got 10 'credits' back with first purchase which would then get you Cyberdrive for £2.40 instead of £70 list.

    https://unitedplugins.com/CyberdriveCore

The same trick would work with Electrum Core, Bassment Core and WideFire (which will get you DarkFire for cheap).

    Thanks, that’s pretty impressive stuff.

So I’m guessing the Musio 1 software is an interface that connects to the libraries online, via browsing the packs listed on the left. Still uncertain if you can download the individual packages to use without the browser software. Need to do a bit more research…

Yes if you get say the free tier, you can buy individual libraries. The plug-in is separate to the libraries and you always get the fully up to date plug-in.

For example they recently they added multi-mic support and some of the libraries I have as part of Musio1 got updated to multiple mic support for free.

When you buy Musio1 you are basically getting a perpetual license to virtually all the cinesamples libraries in Musio format.

The good thing about the Musio player is you only download what you need when you need it, on demand. If you buy Musio1 that's a hell of a lot of samples, especially with all the microphone mixes. But if you say just want a legato trumpet you only need to download that one instrument and only the mic mixes you need.

If you open a project that uses instruments that aren't downloaded, the plug-in will download them for you.

You can also download all of a library in one with the download all button. So you can download all the libraries you'll use and not bother with the ones you know you'll never need. But if you do want to try them, you can download specific instruments and articulations individually.

For example CineStrings Pro has dozens of instruments and articulations. You can download, say, just the ensemble patch which comes with keyswithches for multiple articulations within the instrument and you don't have to download any of the additional stuff you don't need but you still have access to any individual instrument whenever you want it.

It's pretty great to be honest.

    No worries. You're welcome.

I'm not sure how many licenses Best Service will have and Musio stopped selling Musio1 when they changed tack and started selling libraries individually in the plug-in, including third party libraries.

I think this is actually a great idea for them as I would think it's much more sustainable for them going forward and makes the Musio+ Subscription very attractive for those that like that kind of thing.

Not everyone needs everything. $100 ish for the whole of Musio1 is properly insanely good value. Just buying all the CinePerc libraries on sale would cost 3x the price for all of Musio1 which includes them all and a load, load more.

So my advice is don't wait too long; This is one of those deals that's far more unlikely than most of the others to return.

Most sales will be repeated. With Musio's change of business model this one won't.

Ah ok thanks, making decisions isn’t a strong point of mine, but I’ll have a good listen later. I’ve got a Push 3 and Eurorack modules on my shopping list already, so it’s a bit of a squeeze!

Watching the vids, it seems it’s possible to download instruments to your hard drive - do you know what format these are in? Just thinking out loud about the potential for the player to be abandoned at some point in the future, so having them in a universal format would be comforting.

They have promised to release a plug-in that doesn't check for subs if they do fold, FWIW.

TBH I've got more than enough value out of Musio over the last couple of years despite all the naysayers. Nothing lasts forever -- enjoy it while you can. And bounce everything. Not just musio!

This is just a PSA for anyone considering buying anything from Ableton soon. This will be, most likely, be the only sale you will get for Ableton until next year at the same time. Ableton doesn’t normally run sales apart from this time of year.

Ableton run a yearly sale starting Black Friday - last year it lasted only a week
    This includes upgrades from 7-11 -> 12.
    This includes the Push.
Thomann normally run a bit of a steeper discount on occasion (Thomman prices aren't lower in the EU, they pay VAT and it's the same price as buying directly from Ableton.)
You can’t stack the Student Discount on top of the Black Friday discount.
Last year the discount was 25%, however it has normally been 20% in years prior.

This includes edition upgrades (e.g. Standard -> Suite).
    This includes packs.
Regarding the push, when the sale lands it may be worth checking the B-Stock. I am not certain if they will also go on sale but if it does then you can get a further discount.

I use Ableton for my band Unauthorized Frequency and love it.

Insane deal on Musio1 perpetual license.

Musio have stopped selling Musio1, they’ve switched to selling libraries individually inside the app so this is a steal and there are no drawbacks to it — you get all the cinesample stuff bar a couple of the newest releases for the price of a single library and it’s not like it will be deprecated as you’re buying libraries not the plugin.

    https://www.bestservice.com/en/musio_1.html

I ran and grabbed it. Thanks a lot for making me break my “I’ve already spent enough” decision. :-)
Honestly though, the amount and quality of content is crazy!

Just wondering what this is - is it a player for these libraries: https://store.cinesamples.com/

Or can you skip that app and just use them in your own version of Kontakt?

Also, does it require installing any additional software that has to be activated or checked online each time they’re used?

Cheers, looks like a great deal if I can just use the libraries direct in Kontakt, without having to install anything else, or be linked to an online subscription check.

    https://www.musio.com

Brilliant, thank you, I understand now. Just been watching a few videos, very impressive sounds - I particularly like the violins.

Right...going to have to think long and hard about this one as I've got quite a few things on my Black Friday list!

It's not in universal format. It's proprietary.

They have promised to release a plug-in that doesn't check for subs if they do fold, FWIW.

Yeah, there's definitely a place for it in my setup, I love mixing in traditional instruments with synths, and the samples in Musio are top notch.

Push 3 (connected version) is £30 cheaper with Thomman (including VAT) than Ableton direct here in the UK, so if they have a discount that matches Ableton's (fingers crossed for 25%) I'll buy from there. That would bring the cost down to just £636, which I can just about justify for my noise making. A 20% deal with just Ableton pushes the cost to over £700, which might not be tempting enough for me. If Ableton do a 25% discount, I'm still in.

I usually buy an upgrade to Live during their sale, but I'm all up to date this year so some hardware is on the cards.

Thanks @klownshed for the good hint!
Is it transparent for You, which instruments are the newest in the library? Or the other way around, which newest releases are missing if I would by it?
    Greetings!
