i have no love for the chinese authority (it can seem intimidatingly oppressive from the outside) but speaking for myself here, i won't be touching grok with a ten-foot pole either.
tend to be more hands-on with music, anyway - i've never been drawn to the generative/automatic side of things much. sometimes i'll try to imagine poets mashing the thesaurus button and leaning on predictive text for another verse and it's a sorry scene (although i might be romanticising the roles of intentionality and craftiness in the arts, idk - not judging the random-as-a-start-point crowd!).
this stem-splitter is a utility, however. i won't be getting it but it seems more palatable to me than a voice notes/dictation thing that phones home to xi and keeps a book of your voice memos/private thoughts etc.
i'd have left this alone but i've just read an article about chatgpt nudging people into the abyss, so i'm primed.
