The best way to get rid of these apple effects is to toss the iPad and get an android device! 😎

    (Note: This is a joke)

Or eliminate all electronic devices and learn to play the harmonica? 😂

lol yes! Then there will be no effects to worry about. Could also apply to an amazon 3$ kalimba

Personally, an option to hide Apple AU’s in settings is ample. I don’t use them, and I didn’t choose to install them. I don’t need an option to hide other plugins, since any I don’t want to use won’t be installed anyway.

Better think about the full picture to decide on a solution. Wasn't there a similar discussion about the Korg Gadget AUv3s, for example?

The Gadget AU list is a PITA, particularly as the icons are all the same, so yes, a collapsible option there would be very welcome. I’m guessing a setting to switch off Apple AU’s is more straightforward for the dev though, which is why I suggested that option first. Personally I don’t want it in the list at all, collapsed or otherwise.

Yes, I think it's a good point that the Apple AUs are the only ones that the user has no option to not install, therefore it makes sense with a setting to include them or not, regardless of additional favorites/blacklist features..

  • Apple's built-in AUv3's: The "Songs of Innocence" of effects plugins :p

  • @j_liljedahl you can’t get enough praise 🙌🏻 though i did take a liking to a couple apple au’s

  • Now we just need an option to hide extra settings that we're not interested in.
