AUBE 2 – A fresh take on exploring and managing your AUv3 plugins
AUBE 2 is a brand-new app version on the App Store. It’s a one-time universal purchase, available on iPad, iPhone, and Mac, with free database updates! One of the exciting new features is the ability to browse the catalog and add plugins to your wishlist!

Will there be an upgrade price for existing AUBE users?
Looks awesome man!
Having an app wish list is something I’ve wanted for a long time, since you can’t build a cart in the app store for some reason, its easy to forget about stuff!
Saw this on the Sales Thread and preordered instantly!
Thanks for the amazing products! (And the great utility Aube creates)
Can't wait to check this out!
Looks great, Fred! But I noticed Warp by Baby Audio is still on your wish list. You should definitely grab that - it's free!
I've updated the description with a full demo video of all the AUBE2 features!
Edit- NVM.
On bus, chaperoning highschool band trip to Universal (can see Hogwarts from here!*)
On bus last night, pull out iPad and let out an excited Yip that Aube 2 was already installed
Then realized I have to reset up my favorites (...I'm a sucker for organization)
But I completely forgot the wishlist side! Know what I'm doing when I get back to the hotel!
(is it bad I'm more excited about AUV3 organization than I am about being at Universal? 😅)
* from my seat, as I type

This. Or maybe just a good reason why AUBE isn’t simply updated, so it doesn’t feel like throwing money away. If it can happen to 1, it can happen to 2, the logic goes.
Btw, I own pretty much all the FAC plugs, and I want to keep thinking good thoughts about them.
@FredAntonCorvest What will happen to version 1? Will you continue to release maintenance updates to keep it working on newer iOS versions?
AUBE 2 is a brand new app on the App Store, there's unfortunately no direct connection to users of AUBE 1, both apps have a different id on the App Store, meaning the new app starts fresh without recognizing existing users of AUBE 1.
So in the beginning of February I’ve organised a special giveaway for exiting users of AUBE 1, I’ve offered promo codes. Then, I’ve run a special pre-order with 50% off and now 25% off.
You can still use AUBE 1. It s no more available to purchase but will be still available if you want to install on another device for example. Just go to App Store/Account/Apps and download them app again.
AUBE 1 has been updated for free recently with the most recent database at that time and bug fixes. But it won’t be updated anymore except with the database updates covered by your current in-app purchases made in AUBE 1.
Both AUBE 1 and AUBE 2 got a database update 2 days ago.
FYI, Jeroen (dev of the ToneBoosters apps) solved a similar situation with TB Equalizer and TB Equalizer Pro by creating of Equalizer bundle.

Love this idea.
Thank you for the idea. It’s not applicable, it seems that both versions are available for purchase in the ToneBoosters bundle. AUBE 1 is no more available for purchase (still available if you want to install on another device for example). AUBE 1 will no longer receive any new features, only database updates covered by your current in-app purchases made in AUBE 1.
AUBE 2 is available on iPad, iPhone and Mac! Builds on everything you loved about the first version and takes it to the next level:
• Includes a brand-new Mac version (Universal Purchase)
• Provides full catalog browsing with over 1400 AUv3s (regularly updated)
• Database updates in v2 are free and included with the one-time purchase
• Introduces the "Wishlist" to track plugins you want to acquire
• Community Sharing: Share your collection with friends or browse others' collections
• Search now offers more precise filtering, allowing you to view only plugins compatible with your device
• A new popover view makes it easier to navigate plugin details and browse related plugins within the same group
• Improved Offloaded Plugin Management
• Quick actions launch and split-screen support to work with multiple apps, including the App Store
• Enhanced user experience with various bug fixes, performance improvements, and usability tweaks
One of the new features I personally enjoy is this (I lowered the popover on the right voluntarily to show the catalog behind). AUBE 2 on the right and the App Store on the left, or anything you want.
Jesus Christ just honour the people that have supported the first version,
This is not going to come out good to a lot of people
My bad, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that AUBE1 is not available anymore.
Then who is Dirk Breebart?
No idea. I thought the ToneBoosters is "one man show" project and I always communicated with Jeroen Breebart.
Perhaps a brother?
Dirk Jeroen Breebaart is the Toneboosters developer.
If a future iOS update breaks AUBE 1, users could lose access permanently. Have you considered adopting a Loopy Pro-style model? Instead of creating a new app, you could simply add the new version as an IAP. Users of the previous version wouldn’t get the new features, but everyone would still receive basic maintenance updates.
Well, that explains that.
Instead of removing 1, it could have been replaced by 2, keeping the same id. Doubtful anyone would have complained. Or is there some strange apple law against that type of thing?
I’m a big fan of FAC apps and own almost all of them. And I get why he can’t leave version 1 in the app store, and I get that maintaining a database of this kind is work that needs to be compensated, and I get why switching to a Loopy Pro paid upgrade model would be problematic for some v1 purchasers. But still, as I said in another thread, the way this rolled out has me a bit salty as a purchaser of v1 who missed the pre-order window and the discount code giveaways that were alluded to upthread. Given that I consider the app “nice to have” and not really essential, I think I’m giving v2 a miss. Still love and will continue to purchase FX and instruments from FAC, and really $15-$20 is a fine price for a first-time purchaser.
Happens all the time, but the App Store doesn’t provide a way to do a paid upgrade in that scenario, except by putting new features behind an IAP. This is IMO a major shortcoming of the App Store. It also means my salty feelings toward this app are more Apple’s fault than FAC’s, I recognize that.
Honestly I think this app is a good candidate for a subscription model, since it requires constant upkeep of the database. Just make database updates a $10/year subscription and make the app itself lower-cost. Something to maybe consider for v3.
I have a few apps not showing up in my collections. Namely, Harry Gohs apps aren’t showing up anywhere.
Look for apps by “Virsyn” rather than Harry Gohs. They’re all there.
Is this thread a good spot to post recommended features? From the manual:
Could a widget be made that can perform these search actions?
2nd cousin to Zaphod Breeblebrox as well, I believe.
Hello! Thank you for the suggestion.
Please email it to the support. There’s always room for improvement, so I’ll add the suggestion to the backlog and evaluate whether it’s possible. There are no promises or agenda yet or course.
Hope you have a lot of fun with AUBE 2!
