Trump is a DICTATOR. Period.
*I'm serious about this statement. Trump has taken 2 actions in the past week alone are what dictators literally do.
- Trying to rewrite election laws by fiat (executive order) which is a power given to the STATES to regulate their elections. CONGRESS can write legislature to regulate to some degree but NOTHING to the degree Trump has "declared". All to make sure there are no chances for people to elect who they want or change their minds about this LAWLESS 'president'
- Literally disappearing people off the streets by declaring "war powers" against supposed gang members WITHOUT a trial with a judge WITH EVIDENCE to PROVE that they are or are not gang members. THERE WAS NO DUE PROCESS that every person here legally or "illegally" gets here in America.
He just kidnapped them screaming "state secrets" and we are at war with Venezuela. Gang members are NOT state actors, and some of the people taken were a hairdresser and a soccer coach. IN ADDITION we cannot be "at war" with gangs only foreign STATES. They were kidnapped, beaten in order to get them to sign confessions that they were "gang members" and sent to El Salvador prison for labour and most likely more 'torture' (beatings humiliation etc). AND to top it off he's ignoring the LAW and the Judges who adjudicate the LAW. Party of "rule of law" my ass.
NONE OF THIS IS POLITICAL its just a naked POWER grab and the dismantling of democracy
So with all this dark shit, and dictatorship I'm glad the small miracle of music (apps) are keeping me somewhat sane.
He should be REMOVED by Congress if the "Republicans" (now just bootlickers and sycophants) would do their F*CKING JOBS. But a lot of them are ALL IN on destroying America and letting Trump rape a generation with authoritarian bullshit, tariffs, economic destruction, decimation of science and education, and literally starving children and kicking seniors out into the streets.
Oh and ZERO health care.
Comments
America is becoming part of Axis of Evil.
Not democracy anymore, quickly turning into full blown totalitarian dystopia. Entering same group of regimes like Russia, China, North Korea or Iran.
Sad to see that. Very sad.
Not just sad, dangerous for the entire world.
The judge who said the actions were illegal was branded by Trump as "a Radical Left lunatic of a judge". In the same tweet Trump said the judge "should be impeached".
Even more worrying is Trump's executive orders against law firms he doesn't like. Trump banned legal firm Perkins Coie access to goverment buildings (courtrooms) as punishment for their involvement in the Steele dossier. Of course, the people involved in the Steele dossier left the company years ago.
He also did the same with law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Trump is upset one of their lawyers, Mark Pomerantz, mounted a case against Trump. But Pomerantz did that AFTER he had left that firm and was working for the DA's office.
The message from Trump is clear: cross me and I will destroy you using Presidential Executive Orders.
So, yes, his approach in some matters is very much like a dictator.
He hasn't got to Putin's level yet - i.e. murdering political enemies. But there's still time...he's only into month 2 of his 2nd term.
It will be interesting to see how Trump's popularity goes over the next 2 years.
In 2 years the US will have the mid-term elections and if Trump is "on the nose" with voters you might see Congress standing up to Trump a bit.
His power is at it's greatest now. As time goes on it will weaken.
And if his tariffs drive prices up you might not have to wait too long before the dream turns sour.
Spoken like an EUtopian. Bravo. Comrade Von Der Lying would be proud.
Which of these states have we declared war on, because it looks like ‘bad’ business as usual from my perspective, Democrats-Republicans same coin different sides, same as just about all Western states I’d say.
Well i agree that Von Der Lying is crap, i really don't like what EU leaders are doing.. i don't like nobody solves immigration problem, i don't like green fucking deal .. I hate tons of idiotic regulation (MICA, AI regulations, green deal). I agree that Europe did lot of mistakes, i hope they will learn and fix things (again - i I hope, I do not believe too much though).
But sorry with all respect, America is going into complete shit with lightning fast. Trump and people around him are obviously i believing all kinds of Russian disinformations and in general working hard on weakening America and making it geopolitically irrelevant Current US Gov is worst one ever in history of US (and, no, i don't think Biden's government was much better, but at least America was internationally reliable partner for rest of western world - which is not anymore).
The EU and the USA are both corporate corrupt entities, they have been that way for quite some time now, still using the same old methodologies to divide the populace so the people’s don’t awaken from their slumber to realise who controls them.
The real disinformation experts are the USA and to a slightly lesser degree most western states, it’s why so much money is invested in ‘think tank’s’, these ideas are then proliferated via various controlled media outlets and sources but since the rise of I.T. the internet has allowed investigations and information to be shared all around the world at lightning speed, this is the greatest threat to their power.
Under ‘various’ regimes western governments have sought to bring in measures to control these alternative sources of information often from suggesting it disseminates from those supposedly ‘bad regimes’.
What you see under Trump is just a further extension of those measures, which were in place under Biden, like the censorship during the pandemic or the witch hunts conducted at college campuses of those expressing their free speech, for example.
If you care to look at the recently released JFK files you’ll see those same old measures implemented for that time in place then.
You see it’s just the same old rotten system.
Let me summarize EVERY SINGLE post by knewspeak.
They are BOTH corrupt
They are BOTH the same
They BOTH do the same things
You are absolutely wrong. The specifics are ignored with giant sweeping statements that could indeed be interpreted as "correct". However, the specifics are what are important when finding the truth. You cant just go in front of a judge and say something sweeping like "people do bad things" and have a someone convicted for a crime. You NEED evidence that is germain, pertinent, and portaning to the case.
TL;DR
every single post is misguided bothsidesism. none of it furthers any constructive discussion which is the point.
AND today March 27th Trump issued his FIRST dictatorial decree to limit who, how, and when people can vote.
and or
Tufts student HERE LEGALLY with ALL THE PROTECTIONS of the constitution of free speech
TAKEN off the streets AKA kidnapped

The message is if you speak out you will be punished. That is not democracy. That is not free speech, you know that constitutional right the RW screams about having especially ON UNIVERSITIES.
Sorry but I did give examples and I did say it wasn’t just in the USA didn’t I.
Specific details look up Scott Ritter, stopped from leaving the USA to go to Russia,
Max Blumenthal detained and questioned in the USA,
Kit Klarenberg detained in the UK,
Ali Abunima detained in Austria….there’s lots more.
I could go on for quite a while if you wish, not mentioning the cancellation of the Romania election.
You see I can make sweeping statements and back them up with immense amounts of evidence.
I’ve been telling here all who care to listen about the Orwellian times we live in, even my name is a play on my name and reference to Orwell.
But you can carry on choosing between the pigs or the farmer if you like.
They are nothing but a tedious Bothsides Queen.
@audiblevideo
“NONE OF THIS IS POLITICAL “
LMAO
Trump posts have ZERO place on this forum . So far as I know you’re not a published author/expert on world events. Loopy Pro forum is not where I go to get my political information either on the State of the Union, the Middle East , or anything else ..
Now what about that new koala update ?
Both sides, same coin…
Biden, project Ukraine, money maker Blackrock.
Trump, project Panama, money maker Blackrock.
Now salute the flag of the good old USA.
@Telstar5 - to be clear, it is OK to post about politics in this "Other" category (only). AudibleVideo did nothing wrong in creating the topic. What is not OK is calling attention to posts here outside the "Other" section as they did. I've asked @audiblevideo to remove that post and to not do that again.
The intent of this category is to give those who feel the need to discuss non-music topics a place to do so without bothering those who don't want to see such things. Posts in this category don't go into the regular feed, so no one will be bothered by them unless they specifically come looking for them.
Everyone else: please try to keep it civil. Arguing is fine, but denigrating an individual because you disagree with them should be avoided.
@Telstar5 respectfully I did not know I had to be an expert to use my own eyes and those of actual experts to comment on what is happening in front of me in my country right now.
I will refrain from trying to cross post @wim
I do think that what Trump is doing is illegal, unconstitutional, and a violation of the rights of every resident in America foreign and domestic. When the law is ignored - there is no law, and the fundamental right in this country of due process is ignored. Politics is supposed to be a debate about how we want to be governed NOT RULED.
The 2 most influential leaders in the world today seem to be motivated by what you might describe as infantile emotional impulses.
Putin has a rose-coloured glasses nostalga for Soviet Untion Russia and wants to turn the clock back to 1950. He longs to go down in history as the shirtless hero riding on a white horse saving the empire.
Trump sees the US Presidency like a 6 year old does: the President is a medieval king who can do anything they want, is above the law and everybody must obey their every wish.
Where are the grown-ups?
+1.
Trump said he would dictator. He is trying to make good on his promise. What is surprising me is his (or is Musk making the decisions?) is the dismantling of so much scientific research.
It’s feeling a little bit like Mao’s cultural revolution.

Btw this is one of classic Russian hybrid war strategies developed by KGB during cold war - and Russia is using it now to dismantle morale of western voters.
This narrative “all politicians are bad, all are same, it’s all same mess, it makes no sense to vote”.
It’s bullshit. World is now in major breakpoint. We must stand strong and resilient against this type of propaganda otherwise dictators like Trump or Putin will destroy western democracy for good.
If you believe this you sadly underestimate both of them, with such naive contempt.
You forget, most my posts contain sourced factual evidence, lots have been proven due to release of relevant statements and interviews after my posts.
My conclusions are drawn from that evidence, certainly not from the closed media bubble.
Yes it’s similar, but Mao’s cultural revolution was preceded by what?
Oh dear, I could name plenty of people from all across the political spectrum (which btw you should research a little more as to left, right, centre so on, those in power often referred to a left of centre are neo-liberals, that’s a starting point for you) who hold a very similar position to myself.
They are in no way Putin puppets and so on, they are realists and have based their opinions based on clearly discernible fact, lots of which have been realised by the MSM because they could no longer deny the reality.
I'm not saying all people who are believing and spreading this narrative are Putin's puppets. Lot of them simply started genuinely to believe to that - that was actually goal of this decades lasting operation.
Unfortunately, Russians are very successful when it comes to hybrid psychological warfare. I am not even angry to people who believe in all that crap, it's very sophisticated, I readed a lot about history, how all these techniques were created, and also how they are applied now, how they use social networks, bot farm and payed influencers to spread this kind of narratives. It's absolute nightmare.
You state such things as fact, providing little as to your source of that information, yet I can provide many people who you are at liberty to check their credentials of who range from academics, ex CIA, ex ambassadors, ex military, investigative journalists quite a range who have dealt with Russia since and quite a few when it was a Soviet state, most are from the USA but certainly not all, these many sources provide a coherent analysis of the situation which is all too often is proved afterwards from the emerging facts of the every changing MSM narrative.
Professor John Mearsheimer, USA political scientist, who predicted the Russian Ukrainian hostility well before the much often cited start of the confrontation.
Please let us have this category to chat current events and “other” discussions unrelated to IOS music making. If we are blocked we have this huge wall to climb to develop a discussion where we have context for the regulars.
@knewspeak makes me question very fundamental thoughts on governance.
I appreciate the concept of a well managed society that aims to protect the interests of the disenfranchised. Child labor, healthcare as a public good and not a marketplace, the benevolent dictator as a potential best case scenario if that person has pure motivations and a desire to learn (Trump fails this spectacularly and is closer to Stalin).
So let us have a little corner to vent at these changes in how the world order (oxymoron alert) is evolving post Cold War. Or maybe Trump’s alignment with Putin is just a huge blindside in a Cold War context. Trump was flipped, kompromat’ed or just in awe of unrestricted power… after his best friend died he needs someone to have friendly competition with:
Trump: “You take UK and I’ll see you with a Canada power grab”
Putin: “Stop selling or giving weapons to ‘our enemies’.
If we enter a phase where public opinion doesn’t move the needle back against tearing the constitution and rule of law into tiny pieces then we will see something closer to the movements of the 60’s. Hard fought battles that gave us Great Society rights we have seen dismantled to return to imperial instincts and the institutionalization of white power supremacy: a class structure intended to enforce separate, unequal groupings.
As these new classes are defined we are seeing important groups refusing to take on the new feudal Lords to save a secure place in the tenuous reality of a coup entering it’s second decade hitting on all cylinders while the resistence keeps getting contained and disorganized.
We expected to rule of law to cover these contingencies and the concept of “checks and balances” to maintain order… with that pendulum effect of 4 years to the left and 8 to the right. They just took the pendulum and they it away.
We might not get that old system back. My 70 year ride in the constitutional order was simply amazing… easy access to public education, healthcare coverage, good retirement plans, a million miles of car freedom and some fun rides, never ending cultural diversions like making impactful music of my iPad or phone, the internet, a multicultural society that provided incredible services empowered by immigrants seeking a chance to improve their lives…
I am sorry we fucked up the planet chasing greater levels of GDP but it sure was a nice life for so many.
