We have extremists currently operating the government like its their own personal piggy bank, and the economy like a bunch of school yard bullies looking to burn down the school, and rounding up lawful american citizens BOTH "red and blue" and deporting (to countries that will kill them - or to countries they arent even from), interrogating, intimidating, and rendering them to torture camps (yes abrego is back -- now awaiting a show trial) because they believe in white supremacy and little else. What religion they want to push is focused on fear of everything but white straight (rich) people, and to give authority to ONLY men.

Trump invoked Title 10 authority to FEDERALIZE (take from state authority) and deploy 2000 national guard not the insurrection act (via PressSec - white christian nationalist and liar)
If accurate, this is almost certainly a conflict with the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits the use of the military for domestic law enforcement, including the National Guard if they are federalized. - Joyce White Vance (former fed prosecutor law professor)
Trump has not (yet) invoked the Insurrection Act, which means that the 2000 additional troops that will soon be brought to bear will not be allowed to engage in ordinary law enforcement activities without violating a different law—the Posse Comitatus Act. All that these troops will be able to do is provide a form of force protection and other logistical support for ICE personnel. Whether that, in turn, leads to further escalation is the bigger issue (and, indeed, may be the very purpose of their deployment). But at least as I’m writing this, we’re not there YET.
