Oh, there goes this months app budget...
thanks!
Imported the Yazoo_Bank_A_001.. it works!
-Create a new group first.. Presets >options >group >add group
-then back to - Presets >options >import presets >select bank file >import
- > import presets into group >select target group >import
Blofeld froze up after this point.. unresponsive.. quit + restart, searched for new group and all new presets were there..
Excellent! I had the hardware and still do but I blew a fuse on it, lol.
It sounds very good and, despite the kind of small parameters, it’s fairly easy to work on. However, I am finding that the ability to name/rename my own presets is seemingly impossible. Why oh why does this kind of stuff have to be so opaque? I now have three different presets called “init” ((1), (2), (3)). If someone can let me know, it sure would be appreciated.
EDIT: After much tapping on the preset name, I finally was able to rename the preset.
Daaaaamn…. I’m going to have to watch videos after work. Just got Microwave recently and been having a hell of a lot of fun with that (and ID700 and Tal U No Lx too).
Use the Save button on upper left to save the patch you’re working on now.. this would be the main save button..
There’s also the save copy button on the lower right within the presets menu.. to save a copy..
Rename by tapping on the name (directly under options button in presets menu)..
I have my iPad (Scarlet 2x2) out connected to a very old Behringer Xenyx 802 (no USB) and into my Mac Mini (Zoom UAC 232).
So, with Reason open I can play both Blofeld versions simultaneously: they sound exactly the same except for the iPad sometimes crackles which I believe is no fault of third party but iOS itself. Anyway, all the presets seem to be there and man: BIG awesome sounds.
Now, if we only could get an overhaul to make Nave (AUv3) and Attack (AUv3 and it's issues) to work like that. What an arsenal.
holy shit 😱 … that’s hardcore.
Here is a preset demo with some tweaking here., there is no talking.

Woah 😳 Instabuy !!!
Crazy, sounds so good!! 😍
Probably a good time to think about a new iPad, my iPad 8 is sweating 😅
🎯
Doug, great video as always, but I am confused.
I downloaded this as soon I could, opened in AUM, tried to open a present and got the message:
NO CHOICES.
Init and that's it?
Is this a bug or something I'm missing? First of a gazillion synths I've bought on ios that came with no presets...
Note in stand-alone I do see the presets and they are amazing
===============
UPDATE: After opening in stand-alone I exited in AUM, started it back up, and the presets are there now.
Weird... But happy!
Not weird at all and a quite well known and common issue. So, try make it a habit of always open the stand alone first.
Yes, instabuy for me.
Its generally recommended to open the app first before opening the auv3. Because the standalone often finishes the installation.
Extraordinary!!!! I tested the VST version and loved it. i was missing it a lot in the IPAD.
The ipad format is super convenient for this APP, being multitimbral its a full sound module.
There are plenty of patches availabe for it.
I immediately pulled the trigger. Exciting!
Oh man. I really like this one. This may become my new favorite / go-to synth.
This is the first soft synth since iELECTRIBE that has me seriously fantasizing about buying the actual hardware.
I’ve my eye on the Blofeld for the better part of a year now, and absolutely could not justify dropping $700 to $800 on the desktop synth. Imagine my joy stopping by the forums today to see I could get it for $13 on my iPad.
I’ve only spent 30 minutes or so randomly trawling through a handful of presets (out of hundreds or more?) and I’m already feeling that this has the best collection of inspiring presets I’ve ever encountered in one place in a synth. I’m simply over the moon. From edgy to weird to hauntingly and stunningly beautiful and lush, I can see losing myself in this app for weeks. Hopefully I’ll be putting a number of these patches to good use in writing and recording.
i had blofed hw multiple times .. believe me this is better than HW blofeld :-))
I was a bit disappointed. Very excited when this came out and I was hoping that it would sound as good if not better than Nave which is one of the best sounding instruments of all time. However, it sounds good, but nowhere near the sound quality of Nave. Oh well, I thought this is 100% compatible with the blofeld hardware so I finally have a waldorf synth with a random patch generator. Except I looked everywhere and there's no random patch generator so it's not a full faithful reproduction of the hardware. 😞
"no random patch generator"
ugh:( I hoped for that too...:(
bummer...
@dendy I used to have a hardware Blofeld, the keyboard version, and yes, this is way better, the hardware was a pain to program, very dodgy controls, the keyboard was amazing though.
Is there a way to favourite a patch?
OK, guys. What does this offer over the 8 billion other iPad synth apps that I own? Sell it to me!
it grabs your attention for a few weeks and after that youre hunting for the next kick.
maybe made no music at all.
money spend.
Good points. That's why I am very picky with what I buy these days, even if it's super cool, I try to filter if I absolutely need it (or cannot resist
).
It turned me into two separate gorillas
BZZZEEEEOOOWWMMM
