Hi, how does it work with Reason 13?
Is it vst?
Also. Do I pay once and get mac, ipad, iphone versions or do I have to doubledip?
So you’re talking about the built in sound for the standalone right? Because the standalone literally only comes with one sound, and you’ve got volume and reverb control on it. That’s it.
Now using it as an AUV3 MIDI Processor, it makes no sound. The sounds come from the various synths you point it to.
Or am I completely misunderstanding the problem?
One purchase gets you the Mac, iPad, and iPhone versions
Any plans for win/pc?
I'm trying out the demo version of Fugue Machine Rubato, and I find the user interface almost impossible to use (even with a mouse) ! Everything (except the piano roll view) is way too small and the colors of the 'playheads' are hard to distinguish. It's also way too easy to accidentally add an extra note in the piano roll or tap one away. Also it's annoying to have to swipe to select property values (for the playheads) instead of a dropdown list where you can see all possible values and then select one. This is yet another app that is mainly designed for desktop use (with mouse and a 50 inch screen). Published - for a hefty price - with a 'work in progress' manual and no tutorial at all. (Even Doug from TSTR couldn't make head or tail of it.) This is what keeps me from buying the app.
I try to figure out how the bundle works. In Canada, FMR is at 79.99$. I bought FMC for 24.99$, but the bundle shows 64.91$. Shouldn't it be at 55$ ? I thought it was the price - what I paid for the original? Or maybe I'm understanding it wrong :P
No it's not vst and that's good in this case because Reason can't handle any third party midi apps. So, you use it in standalone and then connect it in settings like you do with a usb-keyboard whatnot. You can select various outputs in FMR and then have various instruments on different channels.
I'm on Reason+ sub so it's the latest version of Reason (13.2.2.d20).
You pay once and get all. I haven't yet but I'm pretty sure I will.
Not a bad word from my mouth against Doug but I wouldn't put any weight on that, he often starts tutorials without having learned half of the stuff an app can do. He sometimes say "this might be a bit too complicated for you, so we'll skip that for now" 🤣🤣
I haven really used the desktop version but I will test it more in the coming days.
Edit: I'm confused if you talk about desktop or if you're using a mouse w your iPad? Anyway, fullscreen on desktop is fairly good. I do agree on the menus, why in mothers name would you wanna drag instead of just click and choose. Definitely going to ask about that.
Since I'm somehow included in your question here's my reply. I think you have to direct that to the developer: [email protected]
It might change It said £50 for me, then the next day it said £40 which was right as I paid £20. Maybe if you tap/refresh it will go to correct figure?
Thanks, I will try that!
Sometimes you need to “pull” the page down to force a refresh that recalculates the bundle completion cost.
Yeah, sorry. I was inputting the question and talking at the same time and some of my words got caught into the question, hence the nonsensical part about “P.” And then I saw it after posting it, was too lazy to go back and fix it, figuring nobody would be completely thrown off, and I appeared to have been right although I did cause mild confusion
Thanks, gav

And as you can see my last post was even more slop-filled. I will try to be more fastidious with my posting!
My bad, friend! I saw the name “Alexander” and a comment written like it was the dev, got confused I guess
Making a post to commend the developer on this TestFlight try model. The app is amazing but I am not sold on it fitting into my workflow yet, and the 15min TestFlight build is genius.
This is somewhat similar to what UA has done with Battalion. I know it isn’t released yet but by having access to it on TestFlight I have determined it will be an instant buy for me when it does become available. I feel I should throw LoopyPro into the mix as well, and I’m very interested in recording FMR midi out into Loopy Pro midi loops, but I haven’t gotten there yet.
Right now I’m still trying to figure things out, and even having read through the manual several times, I have a lot of questions! Context help has filled in a lot of blanks. I also wish the app had more contrast, as even though I’m not old, I struggle with some of the symbolism.
Unfortunately, it didn't work... Will have to wait and see if there is a price change tomorrow, as @deadpoetlive suggested! Thanks
Weird. For me it was $50 yesterday to complete the bundle and $55 today.
Sale lasts til July 1st, so I wondering why this is showing as 80 bucks rather than the 60 intro already
Edit: hmm, for some reason my android phone search led me to the Canadian store. It normally defaults to the US store. So, nothing to see here, this would be the normal bundle price in Canadian dollars. Carry on!
Arrested Development is one of the best shows of all time!
Mine went up from 40 to 44.91
Was gonna grab at 40 reluctantly but I’ve never used anything from fugue in my work although it’s pretty fun to use
My girlfriend and I are watching for the first time right now. It is one of the TV shows we laughed the most. It is truly brilliant!
Anyone else find that the bundle has gone from the App Store (I’m in the UK)?
Ha ha, all good!
No, not standalone. Using it in AUM, sending midi channels 1, 2 and 3 to 3 different synths.
Anyway, I shut ipad down and restarted earlier, and it seems ok now.
Thanks for engaging though @Edward_Alexander !
Yep, it’s vanished for me too. Also in the UK
not there for me either (Belgium)
BTW, I don't think there's always a direct correspondence between the bundle price and what you paid for the original. It isn't always as simple as a 100% subtraction of the originally paid price.
Bundles (and apps) aren't priced directly, but by tiers. A tier might not exactly reflect the combination of prices that would be 100% discounted for the original purchase price. A bundle tier can also intentionally be selected that doesn't match. For instance, a developer could price a bundle with a $70 app and a $20 app at $75, which would make the resulting price $55, not $50.
Tiers can also shift in price as Apple makes regional adjustments. I think those shifts are usually only periodic, but it's possible Apple is being more reactive to currency exchange rates.
In other words: resulting bundle price is incomprehensibly weird. Always has been.
(p.s. sometimes scrolling to the bottom of the App Store page and back up re-calculates the bundle price. That's a longstanding App Store bug.)
