Sorry to say I don't have plans to add IR loading to AMP right now, but the request is noted and I only tend to plan a few weeks in advance as to what I'm working on next. Can't promise anything for sure though - sorry about that.
In terms of effort, it probably wouldn't be too bad at all on the DSP side of things as JUCE (the audio framework I use for all my latest plugins) has good support for convolution / IR loading by the looks of things - I even see mention of zero latency, which is pretty cool
. However...
The extra work I can't really justify right now, would be all the other admin you'd need to do - browsing to files, remembering where they are, etc., etc. Basically, it's a file management system. All very do-able of course, but I haven't developed any of that stuff in my own toolkit (yet). As a side note, that's basically the same reason user presets aren't supported in the new plugins as that would also need similar filey-wiley-browsey type stuff...
