  • @Gavinski yeah, it's been my experience that in most Romplers the randomizer just grabs an existing preset and doesn't create something new. I don't use a lot of Romplers- just seems to be the behavior I remember.

  • Hmmm I wonder why they changed the name (via AppStore update today ) of this to “July”?

Roland is busy chasing down intellectual property thieves which explains the delay in the Zenology GX. 😎✌🏼

  • The update has lost all my user presets

That's caused by the apps 'name change' (from June to July) the presets are not 'gone', just not visible at the moment...
...so the old presets are in a folder called 'JUNE', while the new version looks for them in a folder called 'JULY'...

Let's just say that it's the big company starting with the letter R that caused/forced the name-change and some color changes.

I'm quite sure @audiothing will have a solution available at some point...

  • They even changed some section names (e.g. DCO → Oscillator).
If you liked the original color scheme, you can use this after decompressing (Color Scheme → Import Schemes, then select 1).

  • I had exported my user presets but JULY doesn’t recognize them. Hopefully that will be fixed. 😎✌🏼

  • Thanks for reporting this, we should have a solution ready soon.

  • I’m not going to update

I feel like J6 has the synth wave Juno sounds pretty well covered.

One thing that June/July has that J6 doesn't is PWM.

  • The buttons could use some color, like beige or orange... Looks a little bleak now.

    Hey wasn't last month y'all's 15th anniversary?

    It’s in April 🙂

  • I was just going to ask if any other people were having trouble importing 3rd party preset banks since the update. Looks like it’s a common probably that’ll get ironed out soon enough.

Try to create a user category prior to import. You can delete the user category afterwards.
(This step is needed for JULY create the folder it store user-presets in).

I saw that there USED to be an iProphet on iOS too. An Arturia one at that! The things I missed out on… CHERISH the synths you have, people! ❤️

I forgot about that one. I think it was a victim of the switch to 64 bit, so I doubt Arturia will re-write that and maybe toss in AUv3, but it would sure be nice if they did. Now I feel I need to use my old iPad more, and return to an IAA oriented workflow.

iProphet cleared the 64 bit hurdle but remains IAA. I think it’s still on the AppStore and should still be available inside Tabletop as a Tabletop Ready app, It is still very nice as IAA and unlike a few of those IAA it does connect well enough to hosts that midi and track freez for audio still works

That did the trick. Thanks for the tip.

Now if Moog would get around to fixing preset sharing for Mariana on the iPad. I emailed them about the inability to even see Mariana’s preset sharing interface on the screen and they replied back in December saying their team was aware of the problem and seriously investigating it…. Apparently they’re still investigating. Maybe forever. Whoops….sorry for the tangent.

Lol! 🤣 Thank goodness it isn't "Friday".

(Rebecca Black reference back when her singing voice was a bit shit.)

So only the section header colors can be changed?

A bit disappointed with these changes but if it’s a legal thing can’t really do much about it.

  • My June auto updated ☹️
