@GulfCoastSynthesis I may wait to test the app until AUv3 support is added. That's part of why I was hoping for a tape-styled DAW was to be able to record various AUv3 plugins live onto tape.

I'm hoping to add support today and will send out an update - its definitely at least worth testing, maybe i'll just have a disclaimer about stability. For the desktop version I went through a ton of safety mechanisms to protect against third party plugin inefficiencies, but we'll see!

Cool! Just in time for me to test it either this evening or Saturday! Cheers and all the best, mate.

Just added auv3 plugin support - should be pushed out to all testflight users.

I will say it was a bit of a doozy, primarily bc there are so many variations in how developers code their gui. I expect that some plugins will not really look great or be usable, and this is something I confirmed when checking out those same plugins in Logic on iPad. For instance, the Moog Model D plugin will not resize in a nice way, the GP2 piano plugin has issues as well. Other ones work out nicely. But for these reasons, I have 3rd party plugins turned off by default and enabled in settings.

Thanks so kindly mate. :) I'll be testing out the app soon then.

  • @GulfCoastSynthesis Hey mate. I had to delete the app off my iPad. Today it kept draining the battery in the background, even though the app was closed.

Not sure what caused this to happen.

Oh nice thanks for pointing this out - I simply just need to let it suspend and sleep when the transport isn't running. I'll do that for the next update

Thanks mate. :) I'll redownload it from Testflight once the fix is available. (I kept wondering why my iPad was draining all day when I didn't have it plugged in, lol.) All the best to you. :)
