bought this yesterday figuring it's only a buck, what have i got to lose. today i started messing randomly with presets and held arps just to check it out ... for the past hour i've had various permutations running as background audio while i surf the net, and they refuse to grow old.
worthwhile right out the gate ... looking forward to further development.
It does sound very nice from all I have heard and as I have said from the get go, The introductory video brought a smile and laughter as well to me. Kudos to Primal Audio.
Yes, this is for Thor (because is Propellerheads stuff), but a tutorial for FM synthesis:

The THOR
If only FM4 had its controls addressable via midi CCs.
I don't suppose anyone has discovered it does?
Or heard of any plans for this in an update. It would be a logical addition.
If only it actually worked on ios 7 as advertised lol after how many weeks now? They dropped the ball big time on this one.
Anyone else find the volume is strangely low in this synth?

It depends very much on what kind of sound it is.
FM4 is not 'strangely' low in my opinion, even on My old TX81Z some of the patches needed a boost on the mixer, i guess it's the nature of FM-Synthesis...
Ah - thanks Samu. That makes sense.
The app store was showing an update for FM4 on my iPad the other day but stated that it was not supporting iOS 7 anymore. I didn't update it because I am still on iOS 7. I was away from WIFI until today and now it is stating fixed minor bugs instead of the earlier update description. Anyone else notice this?
It is still working for me so I am a little hesitant to update. Yea or nay?
I believe (but don't sue me if I'm wrong) it will work on iOS 7.1.latest but not on iOS 7.0.
I'm in the same position as you I think (I have 7.1) but haven't bothered updating yet.
Thanks. I'm on the latest 7.1.2.
Fear not, I am not litigation minded like the rest of the world :-)
You go first and let me know if it works ok then
I updated and tried on 7.0.2 and it still crashes. Think 7.1 is ok.
Yea my new ipad air arrived and I finally got to try this out but just for a bit as I have been busy downloading the latest operating system and most all of my apps , now that I have the space to fit them all! I can not believe the difference in performance this thing delivers. I feel just like a kid in a candy shop.
9.90 is the right price for that thing
DM me if you want a promo code for FM4. I have two to give-away from the super-nice devs.
One left.
All gone. Better luck next time!
Great synth
