  • @Halftone, why not? I would think so, and much lower CPU hit compared to running Ampkit just for its noisegate

Not trying to derail this thread but doesn't Tonestack have it's own noise gate? I haven't used TS in a while so maybe I'm wrong but isn't Brandenburg Gate a noise gate?

  • I just love AUFX's icons. If you can make 20 of them, I can put them all in one page on my iPad. :)

The basic TS comes with a noise gate - but it's terrible. Brandenburg is an IAP - I don't have that .. wonder if it's any good? I'd think this new AUFX app would be better...?

I'll do my best, but it might take a while :)

  • And yes, the noise gate is there mostly for physical noisy inputs, since the compression might pull up any noise in the signal and make it more audible. But it's also a useful effect for "cutting" away softer parts of a loop, etc..

  • Are we there yet? This is one of the first apps I've been actually really excited about in a while.

I will join you in impatiently kicking the back of the driver's seat.

Sector/Sidechain/Audiobus sounds like a recipe for some twisted dynamic processing!

  • Tick..tick..(looks at watch, looks in wallet)...tick tock...tick...(looks at unfulfilled IPad)...tick

  • @NoiseHorse it's the shakes that are the worst....makes it hard to keep time.

  • AUFX:Push is now rolling out into the App Stores world wide!

  • Nice! I have been waiting for this one! It sounds great!

  • I'll have a play around with this on nightshift tonight

  • Awesome, got it!

Absolute Insta-buy. Its nice when a new app comes along, but when one comes along that fills a pretty well defined gap AND is from developer that never fails to impress and is responsive to their customers. Well, that just requires no deliberation at all. thanks!

  • Ahh relief! Thank you Mr. J Liila, it's just what I needed!

Feel free to post the actual number here please. I assure you that none of us would use it unless it was for a worthy cause.(wink, wink)

  • I'm going to be the uninformed Devil's Advocate/Arse and inquire as to what hole this new baby fills for The Man Who Seems to Have Everything Already But Hates to Miss Out?

For me, I abuse the heck out of compressors. I'm constantly loading up Jamup or or tone stack or the like just for a compressor or ng in some cases. And that feels a little heavy handed. So for me, I see this getting in the rotation right away. Of course, I haven't put it through its paces at all. But for the price of a cup of overpriced coffee, I'll take my chances. Especially with @j_liljedahl.

  • Better than regress, egress, or depress....and you're right about the developer, walking the walk should go both ways.

  • bought.. want your AB mixer next, when can i send money please?

  • Hi Jonatan, really great comp, especially the drymix function is really appreciated, nothing like parallel compressing.

  • curious - itunes says you need ios 7.1 or later for this. Also says you need 7.1 for Aufx Space & Dub - both of which I have running on 7.0.2 ... so just wondering if this one will work.

  • @boone51 and are I 100% insta-buy reasons aligned on this. Congrats and thank you @j_lilla!

@JGY, buy it because you will anyway. Then make a two lane AB setup you use often with drums in one lane. Put this in its path and, though I haven't tried it yet, I'm pretty sure you will feel that whole american-southerner-at-church REJOICE! thing on the quick.

  • Btw is there a manual somewhere?

  • I'm on board and I have to say I'm impressed by the sound and ease of use so far.

I have a question about the sidechain in Audiobus that I thought I'd ask here to see if I'm just being dumb or missing something about how it works :)

When I have a synth with Push 'Main' in one lane and Audioshare playing a drumloop into Push 'Key Input' on another lane, I seem to always have some dry signal present in the output. The sidechaining is working fine, but I can't seem to get an output that is 100% the 'Main' compressed signal effected by the sidechain dynamics, but rather I get a mix.

In other words, how do I silence the 'Key Input' track in a two lane Push/Audiobus setup?
    Cheers in advance.

  • Wow, really great app. I'm a total amateur when it comes to compression, but as always, the AUFX presets help you get started right away and tweak from there. AudioShare IAA transport controls actually worked too, which is true of, what, maybe 25% of the apps that use IAA? Another winner from this outstanding dev.

  • JG puts on his Robert Mitchum 'LOVE' and 'HATE' knuckles and drags dutifully off to church...
