Best device spec wise is obviously the plus. Because math.

music and video primarily, I don't even like talking on the phone.
6+ all the way by the sounds of it.
thats the way I was leaning til the sales lady told me that the 128 6 was the same price?
no no noo-! the screen size, better camera, and tabbed browsing/horizontal goodies are not to be missed. hell, just backup stuff off it everyday then, ur not gonna go thru 64 gigs in a day. get the 6+, 64 then
even with video and a sample library on board?
if i take all the music, photos, videos, and non essential bulk apps off, I have 20 gb of stuff i need on the 6+, 128. So let's say you'll need about 24 gb for your essentials, that would leave you 40 gb free space on a 64 gb model to do what you need with videos, iTunes, custom samples... not bad
yep yep ok zetagy, thanks and thanks to all you guys for letting me burden you with the most insignificant thing in your day I appreciate it…. I'm just not a phone person the damn thing just looks like a question mark to me lol, I'm so decisive with everything else
For me 6+
This is audio/video recorded with it and I have had much fun!
pexfra what was your process and apps used?
I recently upgraded from a 4S to a 64GB 6. I'm pleased with my choice. I've got some coworkers with the 6+, and it just looks unwieldy. The landscape mode would be preferable with some apps, but when it comes to music making I also have to consider the number of apps that I use that are iPad only. Considering the format limitations, I'm much happier with the regular 6 and would prefer to save my money for an iPad for making music.
wise and practical way to approach things Accent, thanks for giving me little bit more to think about.. I'm taking the plunge weds…. btw you never came back to my controller thread did you get a chance to look up the jl cooper info i left you, did you see the difference?
I upgraded my 4 to the 6 and then shortly after my Mini1 to an Air2, so the bigger screen on the 6+ didn't really make sense for me. That said, if you could load iPad apps on the 6+ I may have gone with it in toto.
AFA as the overall size of the 6/6+: they're much better than the slightly larger, though much more unwieldy Samsung equivalents--not that that matters in this discussion. I guess I'm just saying, I think Apple got the larger sizes right.
Anyway, good luck with your decision and enjoy: either model is a huge step up from the 4s, power-wise; and will make your iOS-musicing life more pleasant.
thanks Asnor, do you find that for your regular use the 6 battery life is not an issue or does it get to you sometimes?
Since I currently use my iPad 4 as my phone and carry it everywhere the 6+ makes the most sense to me. The memory, performance, camera and the NFC are the main selling points.
so you'd go for a 6+ with 64gb over a 6 with 128gb?
btw how are you using your iPad 4 as a phone ?

Great video and sound. The lighting is even great.

I can't really complain. My iphone 4 was better, but iOS7 killed the performance, so I got to the the point where I didn't really use it for much more than work. Then I picked up a Galaxy S4, which was just horrible on the battery (not to mention the general lack of music apps). So, coming to the iPhone 6 from those two experiences leaves me feeling satisfied over-all. That said, I have considered getting one of those backup battery chargers for it, or maybe that iPhone case with the extra battery built in. I don't feel it is a necessity, though.
I can't say enough about the battery in the 6+. It makes the whole thing more useable for me- yes my 5 had most of the same functionality but I was afraid to use half of it because it would eat up the battery. Now I can stream Spotify to a Bluetooth speaker all day long if I want. To my surprise the increase in battery size actually changed the way I use the phone.

I'm afraid I didn't end up looking into the differences in the JL Coopers...I ended up receiving some news right after that has kept me out of the studio and away from any idle browsing time (and will for the foreseeable future). Had any luck with the sales?
Hello all, been lurking here for months & months, but thought I'd chime in on this one...I went to a concert this past Saturday night (Ben Howard) here in NoLa & though I didn't think of it b/f hand I wound up recording the entire main set one song at a time...the video quality was really impressive & the audio a lot better than I thought w/all the chatter here/there...I have an iPhone 6/128, reason for all above is that the 11 songs I recorded (I missed 1 or 2 due to being completely mesmerized at the performance) took up over 10gb on my phone, so if you're planning on shooting/storing a lot of video on your iPhone then definitely think about the space...I also took about 150 photos b/f (I love looking at all the gear later) & during recording, we were 1st row center balcony & the photos were pdg as well (even zoomed in), just wanted to share that w/y'all..
.
PS: sorry about the huge photos, 1st time doing that here...
@BrokenCylon Good to see you and good to see your photos. Looks like a nice and tidy setup Mister Howard has going on there....consider yourself unlurked
@Martygras: thank you for your kind comment!
@Kobamoto: the audio parts were recorderd with Rode NT-USB mic into 6+ and Multitrack DAW app, video part was recorded with Sony Nex camera; then I imported audio and video in imovie app (always on my iphone 6+...) and I edited the video.
thanks Pexfra and nice video.
Hey Brokencylon thank you for sharing as well, appreciate it.

hope all is well.
I'm having some good luck but not like I want it, everybody wants to break the bundle up but I don't want to do that and even though it's taking long time to sell the bright side is that I get to use it all. Truth is I only buy stuff that I'll definitely use so it's all worth keeping but if that one person comes along that wants a crazy deal on a whole boutique of stuff then I'll sell it. for example just running the synsonics through the kp2 and the kp3 at the same time gives me some insane stuff to sample. so either I'll turn it all into a new iPad at once or (the more sensible choice) end up keeping it all… win win.
Small hands - get the 6.
Big hands - get the 6+ - if you can afford it.
One hand operation - get the 5 series. With my 6, one hand operation is thing of the past.
Better battery life - get the 6+. I have the 6 and it lasts the whole day. It is 16:23 here in London and my battery indicator is at 78%. With my previous 5, it would have been less than 50%. I however use my iPad way more than my iPhone.
Whatever you get, remember it's how you use it. We all do things differently so think about your work flow as well.
Simples.
how much more powerful is the iPad air 2 than the iPhone 6+?
