  • How does Sunvox's sequencer interface handle recording of multiple MIDI notes at once like chords?

Does it support MIDI controller input?

And is that a yes or no for Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard support?

SunVox does support midi controllers/keyboards. I haven't thrown any CCs at it yet though, so I'm not sure how it handles those - It's usually SV that does the throwing. I just use a midi keyboard to play live or enter note data into the sequencer, which records and displays the velocity as well.

SunVox records into separate "lanes" anytime two or more notes are played at the same time, imo, making it much easier to fine tune sequenced recordings and giving you greater control of all voicings. For instance, if you recorded 4 bars, playing a 7th chord on the first and third beats of each measure, you would then have four "lanes" with one note each occupying those 1st and 3rd beats. After/during recording, the sequencer will show note, module # (written in hex, ie, 01, 0F, 2E, etc), and velocity. This is handy because by just changing 1 or two numbers in the 'module' column you'd be able to have your chord played by as many different modules/synthesizers as you wanted, thus dispatching the notes to different instruments, and even midi channels! It goes without saying that editing the specific notes is equally trivial.

I'm not sure about the qwerty keyboard, however I'd like to know as well. The warmplace forums would be the place to ask.

  • I just went back to playing this awesome app and was wowed at the amazing sounds that came come out of this little squares and stuff. I mean, really awesome layered sounds with effects and all. I still can't wrap my head around the tracker though. But this is one of the best music app purchases ever!

  • Great vocoder created by Alexander.. And downloadable too I believe.

  • The keyboard works on Android, but not IOS.

  • At least that what was reported on the forum. I might try again tonight and see what happens.
