    random bugs squashed?

Erm, I just fired it up and had a little blast before going shopping and overspending, is this in regards to track arrangements changing after saving and reloading? If I remembered that right.

  • yes and especially after using randomize, then copying the randomized pattern to another slot, it would change the pattern.

and does it have landscape mode?

  • It defintely has landscape mode. :D

  • for some weird reason I can't find it in the App Store us, only some protools course by the same name... very weird

  • I couldn't find it on the us app store either. Found the link on disschord and got it!

  • ok got it, but hmmm allot of my controls are hidden, can't see all of the knobs. what is the magic button to reveal all of the controls?

  • I'm on an iPad 3 7.1.2 and so far something is amiss, for instance when i press the effects tab, nothing happens. I hope this is just user error... anybody else on an iPad 3 got it going good?

just saw over at the iPad group someone else with the same issues... this is what mine looks like too. mine is stuck like this.... I'm feeling quite exlax-stic right now!

  • Here's mine, you tried doing a hard reset, holding down the power and home button until your pad just switches off without the prompt.

  • Mine is good here too.

  • I have same glitch as kobamoto on iOS 7.1.2

  • okay, well Oliver is on the iPad fb and has posted it's an issue with iOS 7, man I shouldn't have updated. is there a way to get the old version back on my iPad?

tried hard resetting and deleting the app and reinstalling it, still no difference.

  • Same issue here...

I wonder if it was so difficult to test that before send the update...

Fortunately, I have the ipa from previous version.

  • In the other hand, if you look for the app at the AppStore, still show it only as iPhone app.

It is difficult to test that, as the new Apple version of TestFlight is iOS 8 and up. This is going to continue to be an issue for developers, and is another reason why people should consider upgrading to iOS 8. The ability to test on iOS 7 is going away.

  • Ok. I didn't know that. My apologies.

The next question is to know if it will be possible fix the 7.X issue or is inevitable to migrate to iOS 8.X.

    Thanks.

  • Dev is working to fix that issue as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, iPhone version reinstalled. It works for me. Patience...

  • how did you reinstall the old version?

  • Anyone have any luck with midi sync? I can't get it going with anything. I tried auria, cubase and loopy. Also really wish the pattern screen would follow where I'm at in a song.

  • @kobamoto

To reinstall old versions you need to have made a backup to the itunes app, not sure how to do it from icloud back-ups, if you have an recent itunes backup with the older version of elastic drums, delete the new version, in itunes goto the apps page, scroll down your list of apps, ones above the file sharing section, then hit install, when you find elastic drums.

  • I got it to sync to tempo from Loopy HD; plus start and stop. But I could not get it to work in Cubasis.

  • Btw if you want to save versions of apps to a separate folder or external hd and you've made an itunes back up, goto your music folder > itunes > itunes media > mobile applications and copy and paste all the apps you want a backup of, they should end with a .ipa file extension. If you can't find your music folder goto macintosh hd > users > whatever you've called your home folder eg kobomoto for example, should have a home icon > music > itunes > itunes media > mobile applications.

  • thanks m_rz

@kobamoto, in iTunes if you update the apps iTunes download the updated version into the specified folder and send the previous one to the recycle bin. What I do is send back the most important to me until I test them. In some cases, as Penultimate, is critical. Then, I have several ipa files.

Another difference between iTunes and iFunbox, is that via iTunes, when tou go to "Apps", iTunes let you "Install" or "Delete", but you have to install from the specifical folder. Via iFunbox, there is a dedicated button "Install Apps" (or something like this), and you can browse wherever you like to choose your desired ipa file. I bet Apple is not very happy with this feature.

    You have a PM.

  • I have iPad mini on 7.1.2 and have the same damaged layout. Really hope this gets sorted asap

Works well in Auria Ipad Air 8.2

  • I got Elastic Drums to sync to tempo, and start and stop with Cubasis. Nice tight synchronization! I could not get it to work with AudioBus; but it works good with IAA.

  • I was using audiobus while testing.
