  • ON THE EDGE OF NOT BEING PATIENT MAY HAVE TO JUST BUY SOMETHING INSTEAD.

  • Jeez, synthmaster should be here really soon or so I think anyway.

  • Glad we did not have to pay for it though huh.?

  • Exactly what I did LOL..

Buy Cyclop, and then tell me how rubbish it is so I don't have to spend any money.

monzo seems to have encountered a similar thing.

Audio disappeared a few times when I was trying to record into Auria via AB, and sometimes the screen went a bit kooky when I swapped from app to app. I did manage to record a thing with it though, eventually.

If there was only some way to contact Yamaha... the right development group or person in Yamaha who is handling the AN2015. We could then start flooding them with requests to create a (paid?) AN2015 stand alone app.

Or, what would be better yet, have Yamaha build the AN2015 synth into their Mobile Sequencer App! This app is very rich in features: like operating like Ableton Live with clip cells in rows and columns; plus having a piano row editing. You can build sections with chord changes. I think you can paste in MIDI sequences, and you can perform with keyboard input; either onscreen, or external MIDI keyboard. AudioBus and IAA compatible. Horizontal orientation. The QY Pack in-app-purchase is fantastic. You get 192 extra Sections, and 1,049 Phrases covering many styles, for $3.99.

I find that the Yamaha Mobile Sequencer App is a little awkward to use, but has many powerful features. At this point it is only MIDI phrases and loops, along with your own custom MIDI files and performances. No audio recording. They have a handful of sound patches to choose from for performing your own phrases. So, it would be ideal if they could add the AN2015 Synth to their Yamaha Mobile Sequencer as an IAP. It already has hundreds of drum grooves; so all we would need is the AN2015 synth added.

Anybody know how to contact the right person or group in Yamaha?

  • This is just strange, did Yamaha mess up this bad or is it Apple. Three days later and no US update? Really?

  • Yamaha is doing some weird stuff. I just found out they have Vocaloid for iOS, but only in the Japanese App store.

    https://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/ivocaloid-vy1/id396081265?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo=4

Don't they like money or something?

  • How can I switch back to the U.S. store after having switched to the Japenese store.

  • Thankfully this was free but I don't think I will be buying Yamaha apps given their record lately.

  • Disregard my last...I figured it out.

  • Thinking of moving to a bigger country with better app service....

  • I like to think of it as karma for America giving the rest of the world the Kardashians.

No I think it's because of giving the Japanese the A-bomb. Oh shit did I say that out loud? Just kidding guys! :-)

Not seeing the update in the US store.

It's 'rest of the world only'!

  • edited April 2015

@supadom What is this 'rest of the world' of which you speak? Here in Texas there is not even any 'rest of America' very much, let alone Danes and Poles unless types of dogs and things for tents.

  • This synth sounds so warm and analog...really enjoying it.

The non imperial world I mean. Should have excluded Russia too I suppose. Without getting too political.

It would have been an interesting choice to have a non-US release since some previous yamaha discounts were US only. Because most of the major commerce these days is multinational and yamaha are originally Japanese it begs a rhetorical question: what kind of planet are we living on?

Correction: I love the planet. What kind of screwed up species are inhabiting and supposedly running it?

Edit: I suppose you're right @Johnnygoodyear. When it comes to nuclear confrontation all of the top cream will hide in bunkers and let the radiation run it's course no matter what nationality you are.

  • The "rest of the world" is where you get to play with all that expensive military hardware......

  • It just seems to be an odd model that Yamaha has a U.S. Store separate from the other and releases are out of sync. I imagine there's a business reason in there somewhere....or political.

  • Surely by now you must realize that it is not "Americans" nor "Russians" , nor any nation building and using these WMD's but instead the worlds globalist who are intent on controlling every aspect of our lives by the time they are through. All in the name of "peace". or " for the children". Bob Dylan mentioned them in his music and called them out for who they truly are, "Masters of War"! Those who created money and weapons and want to rule the world at any cost.

  • Great synth, thank you Yamaha!

  • Irrespective of borders or nationalities :) it IS a fun/great/odd little item. A true noodler.
