I'm pretty sure there is something in iOS called audio units that is not at all related to plugins in the desktop world. But we can always hope.
I'm thinking this session on 'Wednesday' will bring some goodies in the Audio Field...

It's getting late here in Swedenland so I'll catch the "State of the Union" presentation in the morning.

Does IAA use some of the code from AU plugs already?
I love the synths, drums, and effects like Nave, iM1, Tera Synth, Diode 108, Boarderlands, Different Drumer, Ape Soft, etc. But the MIDI between apps however is not reliable. So I'm using AudioBus to record audio from the apps and transfer it to Ableton Live on my Mac. I bought Komplete but everything else I going to keep purchasing on the iPad.

Huh, interesting, I was still able to access it. Nothing that compelling. Just a screenshot, and some discussion. Not really sure if the screen shot is even legit.
Just wait till the little nipper gets to those teen years! Oh the joy!
That's from the private iPad Musicians Facebook group. That's probably why it's not available to the general public when you share the URL.

"The Audio Unit extension point allows your app to provide musical instruments, audio effects, sound generators, and more for use within apps like GarageBand, Logic, and other Audio Unit host apps. The extension point also brings a full audio plug-in model to iOS and lets you sell Audio Units on the App Store."
