Thanks you, @DaveMagoo! I was going crazy with this yesterday and eventually just gave up. I almost always blame myself when i have midi problems like this because it's so unfamiliar to me. Anytime I get things to work that are related to midi I always feel like I just stumbled into it so I rarely ask for help when I'm having problems. I'll get back to it now with some confidence that it's at least possible if not a little difficult. Thanks.
@boone51 I'm glad its not just me with the midi migraine....glad I could help.
I do have to say though that although Cubasis doesn't have as advanced midi as BM2 it is extremely simple to setup the midi......I have BM2, Alchemy, iMini all feeding into Cubasis and setup for recording midi notes into Cubasis. It took about 2mins to setup...
If only the midi note editing in Cubasis was as slick and intuitive as BM2.......and had automation etc....
^ haha
@syrupcore: at least BM2 took inspiration from NS... If Cubase did, they'd put off all the people who have been using Cubase for years (which kinda includes me!)
@ZenPunkHippy is it possible to control each of the 4 sounds via midi ?
Eg: All 4 parts controlled by Cubasis.
Been trying for a while and can't seem to figure it out....
Off to the dreaded manual....
edit nothing in the manual....
I got this from Camel support.....posted it in another thread but it needs to be here also...
Hi,
Thanks for writing. We're sorry but Alchemy Mobile currently is not multitimbral. It actually only has a single synth part active at any given time. When you change tracks in Alchemy Mobile, the previously loaded track is rendered to audio. When you return to that track it is loaded as MIDI again.
This lets us provide 4-track recording without the CPU load of 4 instances of the synth engine.

I have problems now with ios 6.1.4...now i can't record more than 16 bars! When i try it there is always "no record available" written. Of course i set the bars to auto. I can hear my recorded part when i try to record new (overdub) but when i try to just play the part it's empty. So i can't do anything now. Not sure what happened here???!?!??!?
Latest version here is 6.1.3
6.1.4 update was for iPhone 5 only.
Ah...thanks.
Anyone else notice that it takes forever to download packs on their iPhone? I downloaded them on my iPad and didn't have much of a problem. I mean, they're huge so you expect them to take some time, but I get 50+mbs when I'm at home and it is taking forever for the packs to download on my iPhone where it was a rational 5-10 minute thing on the iPad. I tried downloading just the pro pack and it took three attempts before i finally left my phone on long enough for it to complete - and that was a lot like work - which I hate.
The Dream Voices, for instance; I just tried downloading it to my iPhone again and while my speed connection says its over 50mbs I am getting 1mb every 30 seconds in alchemy. Since that total pack is 140.7, by my calculations that means this is going to take...for-$%&*ing-ever
I have both an iPad 3 and now an iPad 4.
On the iPad 3, the additional packs downloads are very quick.
On the iPad 4, it takes a loooong time...
