~1 hour to go until midnight... If I fall asleep I will get it in the morning
I choose this photo for the above mentioned because I add 2 more empty steps to make it 18 steps on the circle! Patterning becomes a very flexible 'multi 8 tracks sequencers'! Too good for this price on a app! This is really too powerful! consider this app can be changed to 64 steps on every tracks!
Can it do 'super machine-gun' 1/64th or 1/128th notes or send multiple midi-notes per circle-step to play chords using external apps?
Now if only I'd stayed on East Coast time, but no I had to come back to Texas.....AND school starts tomorrow. Growl.
Another question to all who already have it, are there any numerical representations on the automated parameters? (ie. when tuning the sample to see how many semi-tones it's been adjusted with +/- 24, levels and pan values etc.).
My guess is you can send 1/64th note and each circle can send multiple single midi-notes to other synths.
@Samu 1/32 notes are the fastest at the moment. No chords, sorry! But yes, the top right hand corner shows you parameters as you move them, so you can look at the tuning as you draw it in.
Small little question to ask! I choose root note A3 on channel 1 for Animoog. Why Animmog shows A2 for the root note?
@kaikoo. Good question. As it turns out, there is more than one method for naming octaves.
See! thank you, sir!
I noticed this before on other apps and it confused the hell out of me to start with lol
@kaikoo I use middle C = C4. Looks like they use middle C == C3
from : http://www.electronics.dit.ie/staff/tscarff/Music_technology/midi/midi_note_numbers_for_octaves.htm
There is a discrepancy that occurs between various models of MIDI devices and software programs, and that concerns the octave numbers for note names. If your MIDI software/device considers octave 0 as being the lowest octave of the MIDI note range, then middle C's note name is C5. The lowest note name is then C0 (note number 0), and the highest possible note name is G10 (note number 127).
Some software/devices instead consider the third octave of the MIDI note range (2 octaves below middle C) as octave 0. In that case, the first 2 octaves are referred to as -2 and -1. So, middle C's note name is C3, the lowest note name is C-2, and the highest note name is G8.
Actually I think my preference would be to call middle C C5, because the math makes the most sense. But I've always thought of middle C as C4, because that's how I usually encounter it.
very detailed lesson from, thanks so much, Sir!
@kaikoo for my day job (actually a night job) I teach electronic music
@JohnnyGoodyear
Jump in! Before you take that Airbus Jumbo on JFK airport! No regret for your life!
You can have long vacation soon and later teach for free! Congrats sir!
Btw, I will not give you 5 stars rating, because I think this is already a 10 stars!
This is difficult to resist as it looks so good, so I'm camped out at the Internet with my digital sleeping bag until 12 in anticipation
3,2,1..........
I am already in Austin (unfortunately) but this was always going to be an instabuy. The good news is that by the time we slow cowboys get to buy it you will already be an expert and will be able to answer all possible questions on the road to full joy!
Too good for me, sync so well with Cubasis audio track. The sound variations from Patterning is too awesome! I have 'auto-rotate' on different numbers for different circles. There is no history on iPad or PC drum machine can be such awesome!
Read out loud:
'AWESOME!
AWESOME!
AWESOME!'

iPad only :-(
You know when tweaking those Patterning Fx and EQ, Patterning is a modern day Monster or Beast!
My phone is so jealous of my iPad now.
Holy shit. Patterning is sooooo good !!!
You're kiling me Larry.....
That's what the mattress guy says here in the States!
Hey @benkamen, nice app
love the probability option!
Played around with this app for 10 mins seems the open Hi Hats and the closed Hi Hats are in the wrong folders??
Cheers!
@KING777 yup that one's fixed in 1.0.4
Lovely Stuff!
Indeed! I am not promoting Patterning, I will stay with it for long long time! My opinion is not professional enough, but is truly from one of a public, not from musicians! This is a joy for everyone who want to have a easy, decent and intuitive drum machine for song writing!
