I used AU dollars because I had bookmarked those 2 apps on the Australian app store with the original price noted in the bookmark. That way I can tell how much of a discount you get during the sale period.
I didn't know what the U.S.A. prices were... and I didn't care
I figured people could check out the price in their area.
Or a "Septic Tank" used as a rhyming slang replacement for "Yank". I believe it was used a fair bit here in Australia back in the day however it's origins may be British?
That sounds about right. Us Brits (or should I say more accurately Londoners) came up with 'Septic Tank' but like all good Cockney Rhyming, it got shortened to 'Septic'. But then you Aussies just had to go and stick an 'O' on the end and so the Cockney becomes Aussie in one fell swoop...
We have to write petitions to Apple to create a common currency for music apps - AUv3 USD
Kind of? It is available for free (or for $1 donation) as a Max for Live device here:

And here is decent tutorial:

Free to download and install. I did use the Windows version. But be warned,
installing it is a hell of a job, but i’ve succeeded thanks to this YouTube video:
It’s a big install. 5.5 GB if i remember correctly.
Indeed! I do love me some rhyming slang, particularly the pure Cockney stuff, with requisite Cockney accent.
Thanks all…

The text above made me think that "Steel Guitar" got a 2.0 Update... but it was text from 6 years ago.
The tone in steel guitar is amazing... but you have to use it's "physical based" user interface because this gem don't do that MIDI magic at all. Just "touch". 6 years? Does it even work on IOS 15? Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh... it does take MIDI for pitch variation like the pedals and knee bars on the real deal. Are there any steel players here and do you appreciate the UI? Left hand mode too.
If you want something that puts a disguise on any audio input... check out Roxsyn. Nothing else quite like it.
@SpiderIceMidas has made presets for most of the Yonac's synths and that's fun.
I know, McD. This could have been an incredible app if they would have just put a lil’ work into it, but now that it went free, I doubt they will put the minimal effort needed to make it great.
Very sad.
Web au…. Is this for sampling from yt?
Is it better than tube au?
Note from the Web AU app description:
Due to copyright laws Web AU does NOT allow content to be download, recorded nor captured. All online playback is independent of audio recording.
@Dante777 thanks!
So what are you people use for yt sampling under auv3 and is it working good?
I’ve used Steel Guitar ever since it was released. Absolutely my favorite app. Just wish they found a way to make it work as MIDI, like GeoShred. I’m sure there’s a way they could maintain that unique sound and give it the update it needs.
I don't sample often from YouTube but you can do screen recording and use Shortcuts to convert them to audio. There might be a better way, though.
Tube AU has always worked fine for me
Some Choptones libraries on sale for Overloud THU.
Just checked my email and Aparillo's sale had marked it down from 24.99 to 9.99. Better discount than I thought...
Might give it a try!
I always thought ‘stems’ was a completely useless producer jargon used to make them seem more important than they are. Just say ‘tracks.’ They are just the individual wav file recordings that make up a song for gods sake.
Yeah, li’l pet peeve there
They aren't exactly the same, though. Stems should sound pretty much the same as the final mix when played together with all faders at zero. They usually include volume automation, effects, etc, and many times each stem will be a group of tracks bounced together in stereo (drums, guitars, keys,...).
Stems is a useful term; if you say ‘tracks’, it can be ambiguous whether you mean a set of songs/tunes, or the individual parts… doing visuals for bands and shows, we learnt always to ask specifically for stems when we wanted them…
