    With the impending update Has Drambo finished making all other apps irrelevant yet? That would be the "IOS Singularity Event". Then it will move to M1 MacBooks and finish making all plug-ins irrelevant. And @rs2000 will be able to say "I told you so." with a great deal of authority.

    we are past that point, i’m already using it on my macbook

    I thought it was on the M1. Is it still in a "free" phase? Does the UI work well without "touch" or are there some reasons NOT to use Drambo as a reason to get an M1 MacBook?

    I've been using both and while the new M1 is a beast, one reason to hesitate is that even that beast has no touch screen.
    It really makes a difference!
    It's great to be able to use Drambo inside Logic or Live but for sure I'll continue creating patches on the iPad.
    So much faster and more fun when everything can be touched 😁

    OK. I'm holding out for a MacBook that supports "touch" and can run IOS apps natively as well as Logic Pro and the other Mac Music stuff. Maybe we'll get 2 instances/versions of GarageBand if this comes to pass.

    Now, I need to double down on my plan to get an M1 iPad with all the trimmings like the pencil, 1-2TB of storage, smart keyboard and a "paper" size display for sheet music purposes... add it up and it's in the price range of the Mac Book.

    @McD Considering the money asked, that's a tough decision indeed. People have asked for touch-able Macbooks ten years ago and I wonder how many more years it will take.
    For now, it looks like Apple will stick with their product philosophy and recommend you to buy all of them 🤪

    iPad and Mac still have quite different uses for me, and the iPad takes the fun part for sure.

    You can always run Drmbo on the Mac, and use sidecar to put its window on the iPad. You have to use an Apple Pencil, but it might be worth it for getting Drambo’s insanely good features, and touch, on the Mac.

    Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback will take care of routing Drambo to/from Ableton.
