Wow, that's some real impressive playing there Tony.
Are there any known issues with iPhone Settings page> It looks like there are setting "Def" for example but nothing can be changed. Up to date iPhone 12
@azul3D_Apps Only 3 color presets and you nailed this one. Couldn't have customized the colors better.
How am I involved in this, I'm all: 'The Man in Black' you know
Seriously don't recall this (then again I was just in the kitchen and wondered wtf why?) 🥲🤣
Nice playing Tony! 🎸
Hi @Ailerom. There are no known issues with the Settings. For which setting are you seeing a "Def" (Default) that can't be changed?
Hi @Ailerom, glad to hear you like the preset colors. Now, if you would like to get creative, please note that you can customize your own colors 🌈😀
@Pxlhg, hmm, I need to fix that SYNC button for your B&W configuration 😊
When off, it's white text on black and looks fine - would be cool if it just inverted but I guess that's a whole different ballgame. I know what it does so, no issue. 😃 Thanks!
My bad, I thought I borrowed your picture.
No problems what so ever, I just can't remember doing it.
I'm happy to report it is working. I guess it was user error but if I have further trouble I'll let you know.
Great update, the ability to randomize and lock in settings is so cool. Now I'm wondering if it could be possible to generate a whole arrangement using those settings? For instance, a way to make the Next button add a motif to the Arrange timeline rather than replace what you've got. Something like that would be sweet to quickly put motifs together.
Hi @timfromtheborder, I think something like that already exists and it is the Append Motif Mode. You can set this mode by pressing More Settings and setting Append Motif Mode On. When this mode is On, motifs will be appended to form an Arrangement as you generate new ones. When you press Next after you have generated a new motif, a popover window will be displayed where you’re asked if you want to Keep or Discard the newly created motif. At any time, you can go to the Arrangement Screen to make any edits you want to the Arrangement. Hope this is what you’re looking for.
@azul3D_Apps You gotta be kidding me. How did I miss that? Amazing! With the settings locked it’s so easy to generate a beautiful sequence. One of my favourite apps just got updated… in my brain. Peace
@azul3D_Apps: Thank you for continue to develop and update this incredible app!
😀 you can also use Append Mode in conjunction with any of the Lock modes if you want to preserve the exact Accompaniment or Melody for the next motif. If you’re interested in knowing how Lock mode works you can take a look at this tutorial (4:10 timestamp):
The Append Motif Mode is described in this tutorial (9:23 timestamp):

A new version of Piano Motifs (v4.95) is now available. What’s new in this version:
• Added AU parameters Generate and Next. These parameters are one-shot trigger parameters that can be controlled by external events on a Host. (AUv3 Only)
• Fixed issue where when randomizing Settings and Custom Voicing was selected, no octave shifts were being set.
• Fixed background color of SYNC button when White Labels and White Borders are On. (AUv3 Only)
• Fixed crash that can happen when you use Randomize Settings, the Host goes to the background and then later is brought back to the foreground. (AUv3 Only)
• Improved algorithm used to Randomize Settings.
Enjoy!
I can’t keep up with all the updates @azul3D_Apps
Is there a setting to lock the key when randomizing parameters?
Well, I am happier than a pig in slop with the new exposed AU parameters! This video is kinda subtle but hopefully y’all will get the point. I often use multiple versions of PM in an arrangement so it can be a pain to open each instance to hit Next/Generate to create new versions of a tune. In this example, version A is piano, version C is walking bass, and version D is vibes. Note that every time I hit the magic button in the middle it generates a new motif in each version of PM at once. Band in a box!
A million thanks, Fernando! You are the best.
You're an awesome man, thank you 🔬🧠❤️
Awesome addition to the AU params!
Thanks!!
Hi @audiblevideo, no, there isn't a way to lock the key when randomizing Settings. Locking Settings while randomizing has been added to the list of enhancements.
Tim ( @lukesleepwalker ), so glad to hear your workflow has improved with this new feature. Thanks for the illustration of how it can be used (I even got a button with my name on it 😀).
☺️✌️

A new version of Piano Motifs (v4.96) is now available. What's new in this version:
• Added a Random option for the "Every" parameter of the Experimental Accomp Style. This option will cause a note to be played at random intervals.
• Added a selectable Tonic or Chord option for the User Defined Melody Constraint. This option lets you choose between Tonic scale or Chord tones for your melody notes.
• Fixed crash that can occur when Grace Notes are used to generate a motif and the Extend feature is used in Arrangements. This can also result in corrupted .motif files. (AUv3 Only)
• Fixed crash that can occur when using Grace Notes or Rolled Chords in combination with a Delay Start. (AUv3 in Sync mode Only).
• Improved the Randomize Settings function.
If you set at least one note to be random (“R”) on the "Every" parameter of the Experimental Accomp Style you will get a constantly evolving sequence. Try it out!
If you like all the new features and the music generated by Piano Motifs please consider leaving a review in the App Store, it really helps a lot.
Enjoy!
Great! Thank you again for all effort and awesome improvements you do and have done for long now. ❤️🔬🧠
I have to ask as someone said something about having PM connected to gadget and using the guitar settings with SantaAna gadget (electric guitar).
It's pretty fun actually but when I wanted to record the midi to gadget I discovered there's no Ableton Link in PM.
I guess /Ableton Link/ been up before? But is there a reason for it not to be implemented?
It's not a problem at all mind you, just curious.
All the best,
Ulf
Hi Ulf ( @Pxlhg ),
At some point in the past, I did look into Ableton Link, but unfortunately it didn’t fit well with the structure of Piano Motifs’ code, so it’s not something I’m able to offer at this time.
I'm not familiar with your workflow and Gadget, but could there be other alternatives, like using a Host (AUM, AudioBus, Loopy Pro) to be the syncing/routing agent between Piano Motifs and Gadget?
Maybe someone else can chime in on how to sync up Piano Motifs and Gadget cleanly.
