Can someone explain why, on the “mix/fx” page, I can still hear signals loud and clear despite turning the level down to zero? Sometimes turning a track down using this method works, and that track is silenced, and other times turning it down has no effect at all.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that.
Just tested the mute thing,and yes it stops sound coming through, but doesn’t kill the channel dead immediately. So I guess there’s some post/fx .
Anyway, this is a good enough workaround for my needs at the moment.

Just wanted to reiterate what I’ve said already- I’m not into beats, or drum machines really, but this is my favourite app. Ever. In terms of sound design (for want of a better phrase). So much hyperbole around new apps these days and I am almost always disappointed when I get something that promises to be “revolutionary “ or “groundbreaking “.
All kinds of weird and wonderful sounds coming out of this thing. Nothing else on iOS compares, imo.

Yup, FX are prefader… Really sub-optimal. Needs an option for pre/post or post by default.
Hi! Does someone knows if, when the randomize button is clicked, Battalion has an instrument preference for each slot? I'm trying to figure out what the ideal MIDI map from jAmp Percussive into Battalion would be.

Loving this, and works well on my M2. As @kashi mentioned, I’m also finding the mixer section - in particular muting and soloing tracks though - a bit hit and miss. A more traditional layout, and not having to select a track before then selecting the solo/mute option, would make this more intuitive for me, and quite often moving the volume sliders has no effect at all.

Agreed! When I designed it, I thought "Hey, you can just turn the Send separately from the main level, no need to convolute with pre/post". However, a few weeks ago when I was using Battalion in a not-entirely-sober state, I grew frustrated with trying to figure out what drum was pinging my reverb. I'll add these in an update. Right now the current version is just about ready for release.
