Do you mean the Drum Kit IAP in BeatHawk or playing each individual pad in BeatHawk?
Hmm, I have pretty much only used the acoustic kit but after OneShot killed my interest in those, I thought I wanna try some of their electronic kits. I guess they're mapped like the acoustic? Does that answer your question.

I do go in under apps in Octachron to look for a suitable map
General MIDI 16 should work well. I've only tried with the Acoustic Kit though.
Yeah that's what I thought as well but it doesn't get it right.
It works right for the Acoustic kit, so that means that the EDM kits are particular. I'm not sure it would be practical for an app to include maps for individual IAPs. You can customize and save your own presets using the GM map as basis though.
Yeah I know I was just surprised BeatHawk had no representation at all and hoped maybe someone had made one or the other. Thanks anyway!
Hi @TasTax, from another thread- the beta version 2.1.0 (205) when hosted in the loopy pro beta does not quite function correctly.
When loaded as a midi au in loopy, and a “button widget” is assigned to the param “octachron mute track 1” (for example), nothing happens when the button widget state is toggled.
When the app store version of octa is hosted as a midi au in loopy, the same action allows for octa track 1 to be muted via the button widget state, and everything works as expected.
Hopefully this makes sense?
Hello @TasTax. Any chance that you implement a way to export patterns? (as midi or preset that I can open on another device).
Is a panning option even possible? That would be awesome.
That's only possible if the target app supports panning and you send the needed CC to it. You can't directly pan something using MIDI.
CC 10 is generally considered Pan in midi implementations. However, not many apps support it, and also, there would need to be some indicator of which sound to pan.
If an app has midi learn, then you could set up a CC to pan what you like. Or, if it exposes parameters for panning, you could route CC's to the host's midi control system for panning.
If an app does support panning and it's in Octachron's presets, there's a chance that it has that parameter already mapped.
Right, thanks Wim.
Another way I do it now is in Apematrix I can set a synced lfo on a pan parameter in, for example Sitala’s pan.
Yes, we have that on our list, but I fear we won’t be able to implement it too soon at the moment. I am sorry.
OK thx, we will check this!
Yes, actually we don’t own BeatHawk yet.
But if somebody does a mapping and shares it here, we are very happy to integrate it in OCTACHRON!
Ok thx, we will think about that. But you know that you can randomize single tracks with the menu after tap and hold on the left side of the track, no? 🙂
Thanks for the follow-up!
...
Appreciate that. We'll see where it lands. There a few maps that's "almost" there so..
@TasTax Apologies if this request has popped up earlier in this very long thread. I know it would sort of go against the core esthetic, but might there be any chance of expanding the maximum number of tracks? I was tinkering with OneShot this morning and found that a kit I wanted to use has 19 slots.
Hi, is it still not possible to change patterns in AUv3 with a CC or a specific note?
You can do it using AUv3 parameters if you're running in a host.
AUM Example:

Thanks, I know, but I need to change pattern from external controller.
That makes no difference. Just route the external controller to MIDI Control.
@xain - what host are you using?
Camelot Pro
oh. 😐
Could you just use the standalone Octachron then?
No, I'm a keyboardist, and with camelot I've a setlist with all songs. I need to use a drum machine, sequenced by Octachron only on some songs. Camelot Pro clear memory every time you change song in setlist and send program change to my keyboards and load only AUv3 used in the selected song.
If I use Ochtachron standalone, it remain always active.
Could you not just load a preset from Camelot with no sequence or just switch to an empty pattern when you don't need it though? It doesn't really matter if Octachron is active if it's not doing anything.
TestFlight just got updated.
@TasTax Good stuff!
SUPER excited to start to work the octachron more with the new offset function & ditch logic’s very confusing step sequencer now!
