Also... there are two free (gift) expansions on the Klevgrand site when you sign in. slammer kit and ting kit.

It's kinda confusing as it says for owners of those apps, but then it says as long as you own oneshot. Just download them (under EXTRAS) to your iCloud and open them in OneShot.

Under Downlaods - I don’t see the iOS option for them to download. How did they open up in oneshot for you on iOS as a dmg?

@offbrands did you ever figure out how to import these? I’m also only seeing options to download for Win or Mac, no iOS. And nothing in oneShot to input a license code. @egobeats how did you work this klevgrand magic?!?

The .dmg contains a .pkg installer for the kits. I extracted the content on the desktop (osx) with the software Pacifist (demo version). There were two folders, one with the samples, the other with presets.
I changed the file extension of the iPad format from .ospack to .zip and was able to unzip the file.
So it should work if you adapt the extracted osx files to the folder structure/names on iOS, zip the finished folder and change the file extension from zip to ospack. Unfortunately, I won't get around to testing this in more detail until next week. Perhaps an iOS version will be available by then.

Oh wow!! It worked exactly as instructed. Once you reach the point where you have to select what option you want, free , monthly or trial, just exit that screen. Then the gift screen will come up. Thanks for this my friend. :)

So I gave it a shot with ten different favorite samples, and everything sounds like... Strings. Tried tweaking a lot of the parameters to get something... you know... different. Nope. Not my jam, unfortunately. Haven't returned an app in a long while, but....

May be someone else's thing, but it made great sounds sound remarkably average. IMHO.

I agree, i find Tomofon to generally be a rare dud in the Klevgrand back catalogue. It is clearly possible to make good presets (the vocal ones in Tomofon factory bank are decent) but a) most of the factory presets don't do it for me at all, very 'uncanny valley', in a bad way, b) I read the manual back to front several times and tried making a bunch of my own presets, but was always disappointed with the results. When i go back and read a few of the articles that came out when this was released, hyping it, I am genuinely flabbergasted. Seems like a great idea on paper but...

Yeah I just noticed this as well. They’re probably doing some maintenance or something.

re: Klevgrand Sales… PIPA for 2.99 is insane. It’s one of the best vocal synths available on iOS, imo.
I have a weak spot for any vocal modulators/synthesis and can’t praise pipa enough. It’s better than Jussi and an absolute steal for 3 bucks, imo.

What kind of sorcery is this?! Watched a couple vids, what a neat app! Will scoop it for sure, thanks for the reccomendation! 🤙

Can see hours of Pipa/humanoid fun in my near future

The only massive pity with Pipa ia that they never made it mpe. At 3 bucks tho, it's worth grabbing!

I can't even begin to count how many projects I've used Pipa on. It's the best at what it does. I really wish they had added more voices as IAP's to extend it even further.

Klevgrand - Half the Catalog is on Sale with deep discounts on Modley, Pipa, DAW Cassette, and One Shot

That's a great deal on Borsta and Skaka, which I consider secret weapons for iOS drum apps. There's nothing else quite like them that I'm aware of. I wasn't really aware of Modley before, I may have to check that out.

By the way, I just checked their catalog of apps on the App Store and everything is gone except for Rassel. I'm on the West Coast of the US.

  • Pipa has a very distinct vocal sound. Has anyone here completed a piece with Pipa that they deem as good? Brave enough to share?

  • I’ve been a fan of Klevgrand from day one on desktop and happily picked up most things again on iOS and I think they overachieve with their percussion instruments.
That said I feel they lost the plot with Pipa and then Tomofon.
I know they put a lot of work into the Tomofon/Pipa engine and on paper it’s an inspired idea but geeez they just don’t sound good at all to me.
Maybe in 20 years they’ll be celebrated as visionary cult apps?

Check out the show Squid Game. It’s used quite frequently!

Yep, I'm seeing this too as of 15:23 MDT. I'm sure it's a temporary glitch.

I use it all the time. It's best if you spend some time and adjust all the settings to your personal liking. And I mean ALL the settings.

I don't know about Tomofon, but Pipa has been very useful for me. If you really fine tune the settings it works best. I did not find the native patches very useful.
