Is there any possibility that this could be released for Mac as well?
Already asked about that. No plans for macOS versions of the apps. I think the AudioKit framework does not make it easy to port to other systems.
If this were available for the Mac, I'd probably be rich 😅
This is going to be a secret weapon for iPad/iPhone users
Version 0.93 submitted to app store. I suspect it should be available in a couple of days
Amazing update! I only requested fine tune a few days ago 🙌🙌🙌
+100 !
@AnalogMatthew thank you for implementing my #1 wish without me needing to mention!! Now do I post comments, or rely on your psychic abilities?
Is PWM possible?
Just a quick note: the beta video earlier in this thread and on the website explains why there’s no PWM. Also, the original Synth One didn’t have it, so we stayed consistent with that.
That said, the upcoming Jupiter-8 emulation app does have PWM. If the J6 had it too, there wouldn’t be much point in making a dedicated Jup-8 app (other than a couple of esoteric features like Cross-Modulation). Especially now that I’ve added OSC Fine Tune, which is another big feature the Jupiter-8 had but the Junos didn’t. It’s one of those little details that helps each app keep its own character.
Thanks so much. Does the Jup 8 have that wonderful chorus?
Well... the hardware Jupiter-8 doesn't

Using Synth One J6 with his effect rack
No it does not. Piece of junk. Don’t know why people want them.
While there is a clearly a need for product differentiation I’d hope this always lands on the side of Jupiter-8…
In case you've emailed from J6, and wondered why I haven't replied yet 😂
Just when I was about to ask if @AnalogMatthew could post his cell phone number here. 🤷🏼♂️
💀💀💀
Haha!
Loving the sounds in this gem of an app, @AnalogMatthew! 🕺🏽
However, I’m struggling to make the app sync up with a host (tried with Loopy Pro and AUM). When I use the sounds with arp or sequencer, they just don’t sync up with the host tempo, but they do change pace if I alter the host tempo. So, it’s very weird. They seem linked, but not synced…?
Am I missing something in the setup/settings, that I need to do?
Been trying to find my way back into making music, and have reinstalled some apps. One of them, Synth One now advertises this as the updated version. I had always assumed (My fault, I guess) that all talk of updating Synth One was intended to bring the original SO in line with the current AK synths.
Another assumption, here, but I'm guessing that the original code, having been contributed to by various people, can no longer be used as a foundation?
Does anyone know any different? @AnalogMatthew ?
If it is the case that it unable to be updated, does anyone have any ideas for a replacement?
Thanks!
I don't know about Loopy Pro, but AUM has a funny feature you need to know. Tapping Pause on the AUM top row pauses on a beat, then Play continues from that beat. But most (maybe all) apps treat that pause as Stop, and then Play resumes at the beginning of a bar. To keep them together, you need to always tap Rewind ("|<") after Pause in AUM.
Damn! I had it in my head that this was Mac compatible. Had such a lovely session with it last night in Logic and was looking forward to seamlessly bringing the project over to the desktop to continue.
Would a pretty please add any weight to the idea?
I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but the app often won't load when I either load up a new project from a template in Loopy Pro, load up a saved project or even just minimize Loopy Pro and open it up again. I thought first that it was because I had 4 instances in said project, but recently it happened also with a project that had only 1 instance in it. Does this also happen to any of you? It's not a dealbreaker, but if there is a solution, I'd appreciate!!
I'm having consistent issues with J6 reverting back to the 1st preset when I re-open my projects. If I only have 1 instance in a project it will often work ok, but if I have 2-3 instances it will almost always load the J6s with the 1st default preset. I had these issues with King of FM & King of Digital when they first came out, but after a couple of app updates the issue sorted itself out.
Anybody else having similar issues? @AnalogMatthew ?
For clarity, which host app are you using: Loopy Pro, AUM, Logic 4 iPad, other? And which model of iPad/iPhone, and iOS version? This might be a race condition that only appears on newer/faster devices.
Try turning background audio for loopy pro. Some AUv3 seem not to like being shut down and reawakened as happens when background audio is off in Loopy pro.
There are many synths/inst. that will say 'Default' but still have loaded the preset you saved with, it's annoying as F but, one workaround is to make it a habit to name track or synth with preset name, if you use e.g AUM this is very easy (only 6 letter show on the node but full name remain in the title bar of whatever is used). Not the best but something
So grateful for this amazing sounding Synth app! I have completely been under a rock and finally got a chance to fully enjoy this amazing creation!
OMG! We are so blessed to have this Synth! I am truly waiting now for the J8! My goodness, this is going to be a dream!
Another huge thanks for making the Preset screen really nice and big! Easier on the eyes for playing live! I love that it stays open even if I touch outside on the screen! This is HUGE!!! When playing live at church this will help immensely as it allows for preset selection faster especially when doing a lead or something!
Thanks Analog Matt for all your work! Just totally love this Synth!
Yeah, I was thinking about picking up June but decided to try this first, since it’s free (I think someone mentioned it in the June thread), grabbed it and it sounds great, easy to use.
Not sure why I’d need June (or any other Juno-styled synth) now.
