    TB Morphit is indeed gold, one of my “can’t live without”- apps since I don’t mix and master on speakers.

    AFAIK, TB is actively developing all their apps and have active support channels, drop them a line since the two headphones you mention are not listed at the moment:

    I once offered to send them my Roland hp to measure in a conversation I had some time ago, but they didn’t really seem to be interested, kind of weird. Oratory does that all the time.

    I’ve been waiting for years for them to add the AKG Y500 headphones, but it’s never happened.

    Is there a way to do this yourself with the built in eq? The review here has a response graph: https://www.headphonecheck.com/test/akg-y500/

    The eq in Morphit seems very limited, I think you could do a much better job with a decent dedicated eq. Oratory unfortunately doesn’t seem to have eq settings for your hp.

    I never tried it this way, it’s a bit of guessing to get it right as the frequency diagram is a bit coarse. But it’s better than nothing. If you are really interested in getting the right frequency response correction for this then I believe you can send your hp to the Oratory guy https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/ I once considered that for my Roland hp but it’s already pretty neutral. I believe you can send a DM to him and so on.

    Yes. And there's no reason not to fine tune that curve to your own taste over time.
    Different sounds and music can reveal different weak spots that you might want to tame.
    Make sure you do careful adjustments by ear, starting with a sweep through frequencies with average Q and higher gain to find the right frequency, then adjust Q and gain to only apply the actual fix without destroying anything else.

    I think the problem is that there’s no measurements available, so I’ve messaged the oratory guy on Reddit to see if I can send him my headphones to measure.

    It sure is, the quick switch to mono is great too. Morphit kind of saved my DT770 as I wasn’t too happy about it without correction (and I couldn’t use Fabfilet EQ correction as it had a bug in Apematrix :# )

    Funny , I have the DT990 and was also not too happy with until Morphit. I really don’t know why those headphones are so recommended for mixing.

    Funny , I have the DT990 and was also not too happy with until Morphit. I really don’t know why those headphones are so recommended for mixing.

    Me either, they are fine for listening but they are everything but flat if you’re trying to mix in hp. Love how they feel on the head and the build is fabulous. The flattest hp I have is a used Shure SRH440 I picked up for €15, they don’t make ‘m anymore, they feel like a dragon on the head and the build is a nightmare, but it’s frequency response is almost Harman close. I wish I could fuse that with the DT770.
