@cem_olcay 's PolyBud is fantastic. I use it all the time. I am obsessed with midi sequencers and it's one I use a lot.

This is a real gem. I’ve got a ridiculous amount of MIDI sequencers, but just bought this, and really impressed by its usability. Came up with a decent sequence straight away!

Glad you like it. I like all of Cem's stuff.
Do you have Autony? I love the sequences I get out of that lil fella too.

Haven’t got that one, but I do have a few others of Cem’s, so will experiment linking them together!

  • Highly recommend AUtony

It looks like Quartet 2 is free! The IAPs are the same as the other Quartet apps, just for upgrading the songs for export.

Surprising… AppRaven hasn’t spotted this, but I can thoroughly recommend the whole Quartet series which I improvise over on a near-daily basis. The backing track quality is up there with the best, but more functional than static tracks.

Good catch! I have them all, but I let my sister know this is free because she is looking to make some jazz backing tracks now. Thanks.

  • @MadGav @Dav Yeah, I saw it on AppAgg. It is a really great app indeed, good for practicing with my EWI wind controller. And now I’ve tried this one I’m definitely interested in the other ones too!

    For $3.99 USD, why not? - https://apps.apple.com/app/autony/id1440149545

Thanks for the recommendations. BTW, this is all it takes for me to buy an app these days -- one enthusiastic person who seems like they know what they're talking about. 🙄

In that case, I’d have to recommend it’s sister app Cality. Autony to produce the midi, and then sent through Cality to attune and sculpt the output. Wonderful combo, those two!

Did anyone else see Drambo on sale? It wasn’t announced anywhere and wasn’t reflected in App Raven, but I got it at half price. IAPs are discounted too. Maybe a regional thing?

Confirmed by giku over at Beepstreet.com: "Yes, it’s a local sale in some countries where Drambo is practically dead ( and I couldn't find anyone who can spread a word )."

Don’t forget the 3rd sister Ioniarics

  • @telecharge sweet! I really enjoy it, I loaded up 4 of them earlier, one with 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 timing, running multiple instances of dagger. I really dig it. Curious to know what you think after playing around with it.

I've been wanting the two other apps they offer, but I'm with you on the 6.99 rn.

I find the sequences to be very melodic and the reliability metric essentially is randomization so you can have it evolve subtle or a bit more Aggro. Aside from the melodics and control- the dsp usage might be one of the most efficient sequencers I own.

That’s solved. Thanks. Let him know this thread is a good place to go, even if region specific. As long as the region thing is mentioned to avoid confusion.

They caught it 45 mins ago.

Over the years I’ve noticed every single app sales source misses apps from time to time. My guess is there is so many in the store it just takes time to catch them all and be reported. It can also depend on where appraven is operated from in the world. As mentioned a page back the sales do take time to go into effect around the world. Usually starting in Australia/Eastern Asia and moving across the time zones.

Sometimes I help appraven catch the sales, by clicking on an app that might be or I think is on sale, it then registers it, if in fact the price has changed.
