Does Aurora have anything for clean tones tho? It doesn’t have to be DEDICATED all clean nothing else. I was looking at rhino, which seems more distortion/drive leaning with some clean features mixed in
(And I just realized I have their bass amp sim gorilla and like it very much, just haven’t been playing much bass lately)
Also, in regards to tonex, it seems they have one of, if not the highest “unlock everything” price at $249. As I understand it, this is cross platform and works on desktop too, but my question: does this price include all future additions/models/captures from tonex? They (and neural dsp) seem to be the ones that currently release the most new stuff these days which makes me lean towards them over Gigfast, Overloud, BIAS, etc. But if I’m shelling out two fiddy I don’t want to be dropping 40 here or 20 there when something new comes out…
(Edit: after googling and forum diving it seems it is not an “all inclusive everything in the future” unlock so that sucks)
NeuralDSP are not on iOS though so that rules them out yes?
IMO, Gigfast is the one to beat. Reasonably priced, the most (?) organic sounding of the bunch and, importantly, a very amp-like responsiveness to picking, whether soft or more aggressive. And with Gigfast you can import any of the zillion free NAM captures available at TONE3000. I own all the other amp SIMs but I uninstalled them once I’d become familiar with Gigfast.
I don’t recall anyone mentioning Nembrini but their amps would be my #2.
@Ailerom
For sure
Ya, I have NAM XT from them and it really is amazing for cabs and amps, even just throwing some tascam or spring reverbs in the IR loaders. And I like that they are mainly only on iOS, makes me feel like they’ll always have us in mind rather than as an afterthought (I don’t own a desktop). Can’t remember if I already trialed Gigfast a while ago but if not I’ll giver a whirl. Have heard great things about their recent single pedal releases too. Annnnd it just went on sale… 🤔
Rhino is one of their older plugin. I would recommend something more recent like IronHeart. But if you do get Rhino make sure you switch to the Bogren included ir. Let me know if you need help.
Dead kitty is so inexpensive and sounds really great. I put Nembrini Rack screamer in front. On this track I used Dead Kitty in all the guitars.
Yes they do have clean presets.

We talked about refretting and it's pros and cons a while back and now, this:

I wonder how it will keep up over time with moveable fret-points but the idea is really interesting.
Might wanna check out some King Gizzard. Remember watching a “rig rundown” from them, they have an entire microtonal album, had their own microtonal guitars made, stuff like that. Album is called Flying Microtonal Banana (hehe, of course it is. Those silly boys!)
