doesnt make much sense to argue when we use different hosts.
if you record the midi output, what do you get?
and as you monitor midi out, do the drummers diffrent from each other?
you have to turn jam to zero, otherwise there's always a difference.
i must say i would have prefered one single modern drumkit with say at least 2gb of content like ibassist.
at least more detailed cymbals.
the standart drive kit sounds best to my ears.
@EnvelopeFollower I tried to help, not argue.

I recorded MIDI out from PD to Helium sucessfully. Then I routed Helium as source for OneShot and it works as expected - I hear recorded notes there.

It doesn't make sense for me. There is no difference between drummers when JAM is set to zero. There will be a difference in fills but I'm not a drummer to judge what part is created by "randomizer" in app and what part is caused by "personality" of drummers. I hear a different feeling when JAM is on 1/3 or more.
ok,thanks.
and to be fair, this sounds great for a 700mb kit.
The way I understand it, the “different drummers” are just different styles of Jam and Fill and have nothing to do with the basic drum playing/grooves. Would love to be proven wrong cause that seems kinda lame imo. In a “perfect world” the different drummers would have different accents, ghost notes, maybe even velocities to make them unique.
how are the different drummers in the other lumbeat apps? is it more noticable?
For the most part in the other Lumbeat drum apps, the differences between "drummers" is subtle, but noticeable. The way it should be. Subtle is what keeps the drums in the "pocket"!
The more I think on it, I don't think I'll ever use the Jam Effects, but I do use Intensity (velocity) all the time in Funk Drummer.
Too bad there wasn't room for both.
Now we're talking, my drum iOS GOAT. Insta-buy!
Question: Can i use Pop Drummer just as MIDI AUv3 and use the song/sequencer with other drummers (ex: Jazz Drummer)?
Edit: after 5 min standalone version, sounds AMAZING. I'm a big fan of lumbeats, but this one? DAMN. 10/10.
Agreed!
So glad it’s a one-time purchase and not a subscription.
Amen! Loving it so much!
Worth the price for sho!
Took the plunge. Been hella curious about lumbeats but having been born into iOS production since AUV3, I've never touched IAA and auv3 is a requirement for my needs
Main reasons at buying at full price
A. The continual communication and changes implemented via community request in almost real time. Always a big fan of communal support and growth
B. One-time payment option added due to (A). Absolutely amazing to watch it happen 'in person'
But I'm a sucker for good drums and sounds... And I'm taken aback in the hour or so I've messed with this in standalone (and 15min in loopy) - can't wait to implement in a NUMBER of ways... Getting insanely chill grooves I can't wait to jam over
So many ideas this is going to help with
And, someone stated earlier, paired with FAC PunchLab.... Ruh roh. Gonna be losing dangerous amounts of time paring kits with presets
I, too, would prefer the velocity option over jam effects (they haven't really added anything that fits my ear desire), but having zero honest experience with either, it's a personal moot point
However, the option added later (if possible, off course) would be a HUGE boon. Looking forward to what IAPs offer in the future!
Easy 8/10 starting point, simply for the sounds I'm getting with default setup fkery
Just gotta see how hard ui navigation is for someone completely green to the ecosystem, and how well it plays with my hopes and dreams over the next few weeks xD
So excited this is available. I went ahead and bought the two Funk Drummer kits I was missing to say I’ve got the complete Lumbeat suite.
Someone mentioned earlier being so used to an IAA workflow I’m not sure how best to utilize the AUv3 if I’m using more than one Lumbeat app to cross pollinate grooves. I had the same situation with iBassist - but iBassist having multi out in AUv3 is a good feature. Pop drummer multi out would be great.
Running multiple instances seems a big plus of AUv3. Easy MIDI routing and resizable windows in AUM is also useful.
I tried using PunchLab as suggested by others and couldn’t dial in anything I was happy with. Any recommended settings? Can you share presets for PunchLab?
I thought of @Gavinski last night playing with Pop Drummer and Battalion in AUM. Seems like a combo you’d get a kick out of if you’re still toying around with that one.
Really appreciate your answer, thank you very much. Frustrating, but better to find out my inability isn't simply user-stupidity
We’re on it, the MIDI notes out issue is basically fixed, just wrapping up a few fixes for the next update.
Thanks all for the feedback on the pricing much appreciated! In the future, extra features will be available as optional in-app purchases, and the idea is to bring other drummers to AUv3 as paid updates. It’s a demanding process, so it will be tested for sustainability, but it’s an exciting path ahead. For now, the priority is making Pop Drummer as solid and stable as possible.
Any chance of a vote for which one is next?
You're tha man! Thank you Sir. God bless you in all your effort.
Going on comments here, and to add my own support for same, I'd reckon intensity of velocity is one IAP to add asap!
I’m having a blast with Pop Drummer. I like the interface updates and the AUv3 feature is coming in really handy. I also have DM10 and I’ve created some custom MIDI mappings in Pop Drummer for exporting MIDI into DM10 and sending MIDI out to DM10. It also works great with OneShot as a destination using the GM mappings. Can’t wait to try it with my other drum apps.
One thing that sets the Lumbeat drum apps apart from many other drum apps is that it adds its own extra variations, and you can change the jam, the timing, swing, fills and all sorts of things that make it much more than a drum pattern player.
What is the User bank for? Can I import midi files? Create new banks?
When you save your own rhythm with a new name, this rhythm will appear in the user bank list.
I see, thanks. I'd love to be able to import my own midi files.
next: metal drummer - with tom haake as drummer 😄
Metal Drummer gets my vote for next app! 🤘
thats where lumbeat and riffler really perform.
i doubt there are many people be able to program that realistic.
if you do, just use audiolayer and build your costum drum or guitar patch.
Now, that will be interesting… Sending out your imported Grooves {from that import midi file) to other Drums (AfroLatin Drummer, Indian Drummer for percussion, etc.), IBassist to see what bass lines can be generated from that imported midi… And MIDI import for iBassist would be a killer too..
anyone know how to copy and paste the current drum pattern to the song mode,
to build up a song sequence. ?
As far as I understand , you tap the add button in the song editor rather than copy/paste
oh cool. Thanks
Is there a way to copy/paste sections within the song editor?
