to add to @tehskwrl wrote, once you activate the free promo (loops tier), the price of the mid tier (producer) lifetime drops from $29.99 to $9.99 and composer drops from $44.99 to $29.99.
I emailed the developer of Perfect Pitch, mainly because I couldn’t see a way to cancel the free trial. He’s given me a free lifetime license. Can’t promise he’d do that for everybody, but it’s restored my faith as the email reply was friendly and genuine. Now I can actually try it out without the cold sweat (not good for the vocal tubes).
The email was in the App Store review developer replies:

Thanks Poppa, this post shows more thought and introspection than I put into my original comment, and I certainly wouldn’t suggest trying to maintain a list of acceptable categories or whatever. I keep coming back to this thread because I appreciate the thoughtful dialogue that goes on here (certainly not because I need any new apps!) and a big part of that is your leadership of the discussion. Thanks.
I appreciate that @mjm1138 well said. cheers!
You to @offbrands
Interesting. Thanks.
Update News
Korg Wavestation is bow AUv3! See the dedicated thread for more details.
How are you liking the app for vocal practice? I don't have a vocal teacher close by here in Mexico, and I'm a bit rusty. I can always work through recording I took before, but it could be nice to have a structured approach if there is a decent app for it people are finding value in.
I'm curious about it, though I'm trying to maintain any parity for reverb and delay plugins between iOS and Windows, and it would run $200 to have them both in this case.
If I were going to seriously consider it, it would need to be a real wower with no workflow issues like that for the price, and I'm curious if anyone has used the desktop version to see if the changes have really changed the game and if there are other potential workflow issues to be aware of.
I missed this, but thank you, and good to know. Will need to wait for the next sale now, lol.
That is so weird - I knew the iElectribe app was not AUv3, but could have sworn the newer Korg app versions already were.
Nope..just the iM1 was prior to today
What a nice answer. It is great seeing classiness in a world where it sometimes seem to be a lost art. Thank you @Poppadocrock
I find the complaining here about inconsequential things (a gambling app?) increasingly tiresome. Post whatever you want. You are spending your own precious time making these threads and you don't answer to anyone.
Some people around here are surprisingly sensitive to word usage, decorum and often have disproportionate reactions the opposite direction, seemingly expecting self flagellation on behalf of the offender - or simply report people in silence. Reminds me of the anime meme “Violent retribution for accidental infringement.”
I'm not going to lie, I am very much enjoying having a way to automatically track iOS price changes and get email notifications without ever having to open an app. There are probably a million things that could be adjusted, updated, made better, but it's also been refreshing to code homebrew Python again for something not work related.
Yes! Just d/l it. Preset system is fixed and a lot of other updates as well, LunarLander is good stuff!
complainer, complains about complaining
I just wish this thread would be about music apps only. But I guess it fuels the general addiction of many on here. And reading that the guy who posts these links doesn't curate them at all and wants money for it, is freaking weird. That whole operation could also be easily automated, why does someone spent so much time on this without giving it much of a thought at all?
I'm baffled, that I seem to be in the minority with this opinion. Maybe it is just a proof, that I don't belong here
Oh shit
Why don't you start a fullt automated sales thread then, and prove how EASY it is. I'll eat my hat live when you're done.
Poppa has written in the past about his decision to include apps that aren’t specifically musical but are still creative (art, photography, writing, etc) and/or practical (organization, note-taking etc). Not everyone here is exclusively a musician, and even if they are, anyone’s workflow would benefit from better organization.
As I recall, there had been some grumbling about it and his response was thoughtful, made perfect sense, and it put the matter to rest to the apparent satisfaction of all. The only time it’s come up since afaik was now with the AI gambling app. Many feel (and I agree) that they really don’t want to see that on this thread.
The opinion was expressed, the matter was discussed, Poppa heard and agreed with the opinion, removed the gambling app, and wrote a clear and thorough explanation from his perspective. The case should be closed.
As for the “complaining about inconsequential things”, this was the ONE issue that people have seriously complained about to Poppa. It isn’t inconsequential. Of course it’s HIS thread and he can do what he wants, but I appreciate the fact that he respects its followers when they present the case that AI gambling is not something that should be promoted here. Again, case closed.
I’m not even going to touch the “freaking weird” comment.
Just to put my .02, when I saw the gambling app, I thought of people I have known who would have taken an interest. I was not one of those people, but I understand, and took it as one more offering being kindly shared.
On the other hand, I have grabbed organizers, art programs, and ai generators, not to mention many music apps on discount or release, thanks to Poppa. I think the criticism on him has been a little harsh.
I think it's normal and healthy for people in a community like this to have different opinions and to express them. It shouldn't be free for all with everyone having different opinions and no one ever challenging them. It also shouldn't be people running to the mods every time someone offends them and taking a vindictive pleasure in seeing people banned etc.
The biggest problems seem to arise when someone is unable to tolerate people having an opinion they don't like.
But I think mostly the debate in this thread was healthy, most people raised concerns in a non-aggressive way, and Poppa gave a very mature response.
To throw my two cents in ... thanks again to @Poppadocrock for your sterling work in bringing these sales to our attention
For me, the music bargains are the most useful, followed by the broader creative/useful utilities ones, and I'd be happy for the scope of the thread to be more or less limited to that, but I'm not precious about it, there's always the "keep scrolling" option if needed.
The recent gambling one (or many similar apps that offer free lifetime unlock IAP but are normally around $100 and often look highly suspect or like AI bandwagon cash-in attempts) I'd be happy not to see posted about here, but you've already offered a friendly and thoughtful response to that.
Keep up the good work!
I think this is the most aggressive conversation I myself have seen yet on the forum. I respect the sentiment on both sides, and appreciate the calmer tones.
For me, I honestly just didn't notice. While it's always interesting to learn of new tools and apps through this discussion, my mind glazes quickly over anything not music-related, anything else just doesn't register. Not discounting the sensation for people that did see it though, nor sensitivity around gambling.
I guess there were a few aggressive bits, I've seen much worse here, mind you.
Oh, no doubt, and I'm glad I haven't.
Just to be thorough the Korg Apps that do have AU are Korg Gadget all gadgets individually not the workstation, Korg Module, Korg Electribe Wave, Korg iM1, and now Korg Wavestation
Yes I have discussed the curation process over the years, and a brief description is in the first post of this years thread.
I’ve tried to do multiple threads in the past but it became too much work.
The people who were originally involved in the discussion have all spoken to me privately or in this thread, and I consider the matter settled. I’m glad we could discuss this with respect for each other.
I appreciate the support. Let’s get back to iOS music and app sales!
