Baby Audio - Tekno - January
Hi all,
We're getting Tekno 1.1 ready for release in early January. It includes a wealth of new features including a cool and creative sequencer (see attached screenshot). This time we're doing a simultaneous iOS/Desktop launch, probably on January 8th.
The first 5 people to write [email protected] can beta test starting now! We'd love your input and feedback as we're tuning the final things here.

Cannot wait for this! Exciting news that it is coming relatively soon.
I won’t sign up for the Beta, as I can’t guarantee I’ll have the time to dedicate to helping, but is it due to work on iPhone?
Happy New Year 🥳
Nice! Email sent.
Email sent, hope I wasn't too slow?!
Sincerely hope ratcheting is part of the per-step options.
And maybe even full 'loop render' to audio, both stems and full beat.
Drag'n'Drop between apps/plug-ins on iPadOS26 has gotten a lot better so that might be something worth investigating but it would raise the minimum requirements...
Waiting for this one, and great it comes with a sequencer as well!
I’d like Tekno to automatically switch to a pad when you trigger it. That way, tapping a pad would let me edit it on the Push.
Thanks everyone! We have our initial TestFlight group, but there's the potential for additions.

I’m using Tekno all the time on desktop but it’ll be great to get a built in sequencer. It’s looking good so far but please check out the sequencer in Triaz for inspiration. It works very well. As Samu implied, ratcheting is a necessity in 2026. I’m hoping for more than one pattern too please. Anyway, for me, Tekno is the best sounding drum synth plugin out there. I don’t own Battalion yet though.
Plenty of randomisation in there for you sir.
The Tekno sequencer is something that will be iterated on. Its functionality will be rudimentary in the beginning, because a sequencer was never in the Tekno v1.x plans so don't expect it to replace a dedicated rhythm sequencer, but it will be a nice tool to kickstart ideas!
so this week?
Hope so
Waiting.. waiting.
I'm doing my best (with a slight fever) to track down stuff but ultimately it's up to the developers to decide what gets released and when...
Baby audio mentioned in the first post that it is due on the 8th.
But that’s 2 more days…
At least it’s not 22
No but it is 24
@BabyAudio
What's going to be the price point upon release?
This week indeed! We're releasing on Thursday the 8th. It will be a port of the v1.1 version with all the new features. Here's a preview of the 1.1 launch video (currently unlisted):
The price policy will be similar to our other major releases: $29.99 with an intro sale of $19.99 lasting for 30 days.
Excited to get your feedback!
Whoot!
I'm certain this will do what: DrumComputer, Battalion and Dialekt failed to do. Wow, I'm so happy and it feels so good.
What would that be specifically? I wouldn’t say Battalion really stuck with me long.
@tristan is there a list by any chance of the things the iOS version can't do that the desktop version can do? Are there iOS ways to do all the shortcut commands etc? What about drag and drop, and so on? Cheers
@BabyAudio So while we are waiting for this awesome thing, one question: why no delay fx.. and will this be added in a future update?
