But if you want to retain a full +/-6 semitone pitch-modulation (Square wave on LFO1) while doing a 48 semitone-pitch dive using another LFO using a ramp down wave it becomes a bit tricky as there's only one 'AMT Knob' per destination and adjusting the 'blend' between the LFOs doesn't really work in this case...
To be able to do what I'm after LFO specific AMTs for the destination parameters are needed.
Ie. 4 rows of AMTs, one for each LFO as the 'cross-fading' makes it impossible to use the specified modulation depth per LFO.
But hey, there's other tools for more chip-tune specific sound-design
@elasticdrums I was curious if there’s a general idea of when the desktop version might be coming 😝
Came to ask same.
I think March could be realistic. Technically it's all working since months, we just have to setup a marketplace etc.
By the way, also Android will come soon
Thanks! Damn that's a long wait haha. But that's super exciting! Modulating this things with MIDI Shapers and all is going to sound amazing. Going back to Flechtwerk in the meantime
Hello Androids 🤖

Exciting. Been looking forward to a desktop version coming for some time now. Good to have an idea when I should clear my calendar.
Android Beta Testers wanted !!
I know this isn’t exactly the right channel, but if you happen to own an Android device and would like to get Elastic OSC for less than €1 / $1, here’s your chance
We’ve just started beta testing Elastic OSC for Android.

I feel like I’m seeing more music apps showing up on Android. Has something recently changed on the platform making it more appealing to devs?
Quick Teaser: Android Update will come out tomorrow - March 26th 🥳
More videos are coming soon, but this is a session from my workation in Tenerife:
Definitely getting the MPE IAP this week. (You need a Linnstrument
@elasticdrums )
I have one
But I like the Exquis also, because it's so portable and affordable
Ah gotcha. A 128 Linnstrument only hits the latter of those criteria, while is nevertheless forest / cafe / backpack appropriate! Can't argue about price.
I’m still mourning the loss of the Sensel Morph… even though i own 2 and a Linnstrument…
Fantastic work on the MPE update. There’s so many sounds in Elastic OSC that are really hard to reproduce in other synths. What a joy to get to play them with wild expression. 💕💕💕
Devon
Moving through the engines via Y(?) axis, that's a wild application, good example of the potential, and combined with screen controls, all depends what a person can think to map. (Edit: video by https://soundcloud.com/taeo) Thanks @elasticdrums
Mpe update is out, great to have the extra level of expression, very easy to use too:
Some of those MPE presets are unlike anything I’ve ever heard coming from a synth. Those creators did a bang up job!!
Some of the options are pretty wild, when you're morphing between synth engines etc, yeah haha
I enjoyed your incredulous comment @Gavinski about "why would I want a (drone) synth that isnt MPE". I'll go a step further, I only want synths of any kind that are MPE. This is a solid implementation right? I would love every parameter to be mappable but this is at least a very good number of the main possibilities. Not as much as a full matrix, but 300% more than in a Bleass synth.
Do you prefer Salome to things like Velocity Keyboard in part because of the Seaboard like Y-distance and that being a physical interface you use? I'm projecting in asking that because I prefer VK because it's linnstrument like within the smaller y-bounds of individual pads, which I always found to be expressively profound, whereas some peoples perspective of that is as being a disadvantage. The tiny amount of finger motion for huge timbral change I find to be preferable. Also with VK the faked pressure by way of surface amount detected works relatively well so you have all the MPE dimensions.
I mostly use Salome in the grid view, which Iike because of the 'latch and catch' feature, which is awesome for pads and drones etc (discussed in the video as well as in my YouTube walkthrough of Salome). I wish every touchscreen mpe keyboard had that option.
And yes, make everything mpe, I totally agree!
Also, yes, I know they didn't expose every parameter in Elastic Osc as an mpe destination, but I think that's intentional, and the ones that are mappable are well chosen.
This is my favourite synth of them all. So few parameters on sight that it's easy to focus and get some marvelous sounds. MPE presets starts to live with seaboard block. Easy 5/5
My vid re MPE update
@RedSkyLullaby
You’re presets are killer, thank you kindly
+1 for MPE as a default inclusion.
this would be a fantastic candidate for a vertical layout for portrait orientation
I can’t seem to use my sustain pedal with this app whether Auv3 in AUM or standalone! It’s not my keyboard as all other apps work except this one. Any ideas? Or is that just the way this app is supposed to be ?
