There are no patch cables, but Drambo does it in a way. If you tap an input, the possible outputs, that weren't visible before, appear and if you tap them, you make a connection. They have to be to the left of the input (or in a track above) to be available.
@Squishy thanks:)
Ok, I found this by accident, on the arp synth, you can biggerize the synth part by dragging that middle bar down. Here it’s shown at the maximum size on my 12.9” screen.
Controls are still super tiny, but useable now.
And the patch cables work the same as in MiRack or Solderbox; ie tap on source, then tap on destination.
Accurate app name though

If its barely readable in standalone, i imagine it would be bad in an auv3 window.
That looks likely to be usable enough as long as you keep it sized fairly large. Intrigued... How's the sound quality? Can anyone speak to how good an emulation it is? What about the filters etc?
What a flipping mad couple of weeks for app releases haha
It’s actually the same size as an AU, at least in GarageBand. So there’s that.
Sound quality is very good . Haven’t had any other issues yet including with imported midi files which give a lot of synths issues in GB
I’m unable to select any presets in the menus, so stuck in the initial folder using the arrows. Which means I can’t change synths either without reinstalling the app and getting that initial synth choice at start up. 17.7.10, have sent in a ticket via AppStore.
Sounds great though! I’m sure stuff will get ironed out
Yes, was fully aware of how to do this as it’s what it says to do on their website - I think all earlier comments were based on being zoomed in as far as possible using this method - see the video posted by @tyslothrop1, that’s it zoomed in the same way on a smaller screen.
It really isn’t usable on my iPad A16 with a smaller screen unfortunately - one for people with 13 inch screens only I guess!
OK, kind of usable but really that UI design is sadistic. Keeping the wooden panels etc, sorry, but what a damn stupid choice
Definitely; I really don’t understand why some devs do stuff like this. It doesn’t add anything , it doesn’t save them money …it just pisses people off.
It’s annoying af, tbh
And it’s a pity because things like the filters etc sound great to my ears. Also the transitions between presets are very smooth. So it’s not like it’s a shoddy job, but UI choices like that are beyond bewildering to me
Well, really cool, but very straining on the eyes after some time, even when wearing glasses with perfect reading vision, hmmm…damn, I hope they work on this because it’s so cool but also so flawed
I'm having a lot of fun with the SK1 as an effect. The input shouldn't be too harmonically rich, or there won't be much left of it even before the circuit bending. Lovely broken sounds.
Sounds cool thanks. I was also looking for something that might be good to assist learning modular.
Hear and understand complaints, but I think this is a terrific addition and for tuppence. Very good.
Very curious to get any opinions regarding the sound from ppl well acquainted with other Arp 2600 plugins and/or the hardware.
Also mirack and I believe solderbox, highlight acceptable input/outputs
There seems to be something wrong with the preset system. I’ve tried to save a few presets but every time I press Save, the synth goes totally silent. Anyone else?
Also, yeah, hearing quite a few people say that this is currently prone to freezing. Seems to be an iOS 18 issue maybe, I haven’t had freezing problems on iPadOS 26.3 anyway
What an original oddity. Arp2600 paired with a circuit-bent Casio SK-1? For a fiver? I'm trying to figure out the catch here. Then again, I'm quite satisfied with what I already have, and I'm on the fence about buying this one.
Can outputs not be multed in this (ie send multiple cables out from an output)? I haven’t managed to do that.
I had trouble with saving presets, but found a very unintuitive way to do it. If you have a patch you'd like to save, hit the preset name. Then hit the little copy icon (2 sheets of paper). Name your preset and hit copy. Don't know, if that's how the developer intended it to be done, but it works.
I think the reason for the synth to go silent is that it created a new empty patch.
Could be, I’m on iOS 18 and experience it freezing if I try to open preset browser. Have informed developer.
Gotta say, turn the reverb down a bit on this and it's quite nice for making nasty drones
Thanks, I have those so I'll check them out. Didn't recall they did that so thanks for the heads up.
So I have the Behringer version of the arp 2600,which was my first “hi end” synth, even tho I realize it’s not hi really. So it doesn’t sound quite similar but odd and different, which I’ve heard even old analog arps all sound different. It’s passable so far and if he fixes the issues it will be fair enough which is saying a lot. The cherry audio Mac arp 2600 is the best software. Anyway I also could see splitting these apps as I haven’t even looked at the Casio. I feel like the dev may be super passionate about this as it seems like it would have been pretty hard to make?.. cheers just babbling. But yeah I’m an analog 2600 addict but really it took my whole life to attain haha. I really hope he just kicks it up a bit and the potential is there.
Thnx for chiming in. I know the reverb on the original Arp 2600 is highly rated by many. I wonder whether that's been modeled well here? I definitely like to tone it down, I feel like it's too high on most of the factory presets and makes things sound too washed out and lacking in detail for me.
