  • Just stumbled across this and, damn, I like it!

  • What am I listening to?

    Is it good?
    Of course.

  • still listening to oldies for the most part. garage rock's perennial.

thee midniters - "jump, jive, and harmonize" (1967)

the dirtbombs - "kung fu" (2001)

  • This masterpiece of an album.

One of the most influential albums for me personally, at least musicwise. Lyricwise (and also musicwise), it's...

  • MoM put out an album w Lee Scratch Perry. Haven’t heard it all yet but the tracks I did are pretty fun! 🤙

  • Yes it is good.

  • i've been listening to a whole lot of oz rock, lately.

and yes - it's like a back-scratcher for my itchy inner punk.

    here are a few:

    lime spiders - ignor my

    radio birdman - snake

    cosmic psychos - lost cause

The first new Beck I've liked in decades. Like a track from mutations, with some gorgeous strings

  • Working on a remix of self control.

I forgot how awesome that song is.

Excellant movie making too…. Nice framing, no cuts, sound track…., interesting narration….

  • This popped up in my Youtube feed, and I'm not disappointed.

It's been a while since I've heard a more lighthearted and fun Country tune come out of Nashville, that's for certain! ❤️

  • Discovered him in Montreux Jazz Festival

  • yes, it’s good

  • I’m binging on jazz guitarist videos lately. Stumbled on Sco tearing it up, one of the best jazz guitarists ever. I got to play with him once at a jazz festival. Super nice dude. Pattituci is killing it on bass here too.

  • I'm rediscovering Chic. I haven't listened to Chic since I was in my teens. Here's just one of many song examples...

Unlike in my teens where I listened to Chic simply as "happy go lucky" music, I get the feeling that if you change even one thing about this song (or any Chic song), the whole thing would crumble. Everything is placed perfectly, from the tight timing of the drums, to the incredible bass guitar performance, to even the one note violin stabs and the upbeat vocals. Holy shit. 🤯

Nice! I love a bit of quality funky disco. These Horse Meat Disco guys have made some great compilations of more obscure stuff out there. This Boiler Room gig looked really fun too:
