I've been curious about RF-1. It's also universal, AU, and on sale... but there aren't any reviews at all at the iTunes store. Not even for previous versions. Anyone have this and can offer insight?

Dedalus or RF-1? I've got enough delay stuff already. Love the Dedalus dev, but also love RF-1 is AU.

Dedalus is the most adventurous delay I have ever heard, hardware or software. Everything can be modulated.

  • Arg! ROTOR or STEROSUN? Opinions?

    Found this earlier audiobus thread
    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/12700/rp-1-dual-digital-delay-fx-with-au-ab-iaa-and-link

Note that the app has been updated
New in 1.2: Tremolo, Phaser, Mod Delay etc

At the moment at version 1.2.3, last 6 months 6 updates. Active dev!

From the thread it seems @JohnnyGoodyear (who's very active here) owns it

RF-1 is great. Various modulation make for a lot of different effects. Easy to use and AU.

  • Thanks for the phasemaker discount!

    Both of course.

Have you tried the free version of stereo sun?

Both are quite different ROTOR seems harder to get into than STEREOSUN. The last one is now available at a bargainprice 3.99

No I haven't tried the free version of stereosun... Did watch the youtube videos. Kinda thinking Rotor (i've got reactable - but worried about them carrying over support as the new app seems to take its place), plus its got an internal sound engine and sample support.

    Still... if peeps have opinions

  • @audiblevideo I have reactable mobile too but ROTOR goes way further. It's a crazy amount of features for $6.99. The sequencer allows me to get Egoist type stuff with my samples immediately. Then all the filters and effects which can be applied modularly for different textures... Individual loop key changes, which have been requested in Blocs Wave for a while... It's deep.

    Rotor it is ;) thanks

  • Just purchased rotor and listened to a few demos, I think I will have a lot of fun with this one thanks @lukesleepwalker

Here is a really quick and dirty ROTOR to AudioShare recording, using some loops I had laying around:

At the very beginning, the Mii loop goes into a ring modulator and then the modulator gets connected to the monophonic sequencer. At the end, I move the sequencer block so that its connected directly to the loop rather than the modulator. You can here the beat repeat delay in action in the middle; the hump loop also is slaved to the Mii key so that it creates the weird key correction stuff.

  • RP-1 & RF-1 are $2.99 each and I couldn't resist, always love getting more AU stuff for Auria Pro sessions. Just messed with them a bit and it's so cool to get multiple instances of a verb this nice with the CPU still keeping at lower work load...

One of my favorite tests for any delay or reverb is marimba. The initial attack and warm glowy resonance after really show what a reverb or delay can do. Both of these passed the test with gold star 100%'s! Damn, the Vintage Reverb setting with some highs rolled of was Abbey Road chamber verb territory...that dark, hollow reverb that just glues a vocal or instrument together...it sounds badass, can't wait to do some vocals and like nylon classical guitar with it.

With Model 15, these, Enkl, Silq EQ, some others I am in pretty good this Black Friday, but I have learned over my time with iOS music production to wait for times like these to pick up stuff so it's justified (in my mind at least, lol), I haven't really bought too much in awhile.

Great, great sales this year...thanks to the devs for helping us out and I hope with increases in volume this helps you guys out too.

I'll see if I can create a video that walks through how to use the different blocks together.

Interesting I'm also into buying one or both, what is the difference between those 2. And are the scaling problems solved?

MidiSequencer By anthony saunders $6.99 now $3,99

Group the Loop $6.99 (from $8.99) Dev announced that after BF price will be $9.99

Anyone with experience with this Looper, better dan Loopy HD?

I wouldn't call it better but it is a very good looper. Was a long time Loopy user when GTL came along and now I use them both equally. I wouldn't hesitate grabbing it now at this price. The developer is very responsive and there was a fairly recent update adding Link, time stretch/pitch change.
Loopy Masterpiece should be coming soon though. Decisions.......

Turnado effectrix and wow filterbox at 9,99. For the two first i think they were at 17.99 and the latter at14.99. I believe mainly people spoke about Turnado as best app out of these. Can anyone confirm?

They are different. Effectrix is a sequencer type of thing where you can set different effects on the sequence, turnado has 4 xy pads(where x and y are different effects, so basically 8 effects) to control effects in real time, and wow has one effect thing and 1 xy pad that has 3 points(or what ever those are called) on it that control different parameters of it.

    Seconded

Thx for the info. Think about it, so much to choose from

I'm not a junkie, but I would suggest starting with Basic for $2 and see how you get on with it. You can unlock Pro via IAP.

Of course, any reverb junkie should already have AUFX: Space, Altispace, and maybe a few others.

  • Someone help. I have so many delays, but.........
ApeDelay or Dedalus delay or aufx dub?

  • Assuming KORG shows up for the sale, I think this is the time for me to pick up iElectribe (NOT the Gorillaz Edition). It'll be $9.99 again, if the sale pattern holds up.

They're all cheap as chips. Buy what you can afford. I suggest demoing as much as possible to help you decide.

  • FinalTouch just $3 now!

"cheap as chips"? Is that an English thing like "brilliant" and "cheers"? ;)
