In favor of that loop bar fix here too. Would really like to be able to copy a looped section for pasting also.
Just wanted to clarify I'm not crazy and not high. I stand by my statement. The current kits are underwhelming to me and only very few of them sound like something I would want to use. Most kits are also drenched in reverb, which I don't like. If you like that good for you. I am looking forward to better kits and user sample support.
Better everything is better indeed! More of everything is better also. Well, not everything, take mosquitos for example.
While your at it, take them all please.
@DerekBuddemeyer I bought the app. It does not receive midi clock to control the transport? I control all live with the clock of the Loopy HD. This would be essential for me.
I disagree. To each their own. People hear differs things. It's also personal preference, and what your using it for.
I just use it as a stupid drum machine/ backing track. I was using Rock Drummer, but this is much better (for me). Rock Drummer didn't work for me, but this one is just right. It could use some things, of course, but it's good now.
To me the sound is incredible and it sound likeba totLlybreal drummer. I asjed several of my family members and they actually thought i had recorded eith the church's drummer and he is really good!!!
DPP and RDM4 are also super realistic and in all e are truly all blessed to have this technology
I'm not sure what it is that makes you such a pain in the neck. If you disagree that's fine with me. Sometimes other people have their own opinions, if you like it or not. It may be a matter of personal preference as well. Peace out, man and happy New Year!
This is my experience. Like I said, I was actually surprised, as I had read all the negatives here so didn't expect much.
But that's the nature of forums, and when it comes to sound, you can multiply that by 100x
My only concern is that in order for this to progress it will need some good buzz. The iOS market isn't exactly a gold mine. But the price is just right. My suggestion, would be for him to improve this a little before he proceeds to the ineveitable nickel and dime, in-app scam
Have a happy
Honestly i think the price is high but because i dreamed so long to have this on a mobile device like my ipad and i can only imagine the countless hours of developmentt and testing that go into making this app, it is a fair price to pay to reward this developer for making this dream come true!
Its only gonna get better
Yes , I too remember the long wait while this was developed into the outstanding platform that it both is and will become. I also agree that the wait has paid off.
Hey man, I was was only joking about the crazy & high part. The samples are preprocessed so you don't have to. In the context of a full mix, of course you'll want reverb on your kit - preprocessed samples are what got Steven Slate started and now he has a successful business. The new dry kit, custom samples and stem/MIDI export will make DS the ultimate tool for non-electronic iOS musicians and I know the sample collection will be unmatched. Hard to know if I'll still use Drumagog at that point.
Any news on this, has an update been submitted?
Getting ready for a pretty big update....new kits will be added as well as some other features, fixes, and just adding some general smoothness to the feel of everything. We are still working on "LINK" as the guys from Ableton just got back with us on some issues. However, most everything on everyone's wishlist for the app is being considered...if not added at some point in time....I'll have a list of what's going into the update soon....and iPhone release is just around the corner as well
This drum app is awesome! Appreciate the dev keeping us updated
Heavy Hitter track....quick 2 minutes to create...drag and dropped some loops and recorded some cymbal accents on top...easy peasy https://soundcloud.com/buddemeyer72/heavy-hitter-at-hangnail
I can't wait to be able to bring this into Auria Pro and add parallel compression etc.
I want to hear it when you do!!
Working on a ton of stuff in the next update...should be soon!!!
Of course! I'm running an iPad Mini 2 with limited space, but I might try put some of my gogs onto the iPad and see what it's like blending Drumagog with DS; we'll see. Then again, the real test is hearing it all in the context of a mix. I'll try hunt down some raw sessions with DI guitars etc. and do a full mix within Auria Pro using Bias FX and Drum Session. Being able to process each individual element of the kit will be pretty sweet.
Just to clarify, will I be able to add DS to one track which either has the MIDI in Auria or DS and output each drum to their own tracks and process them without having to print them until I'm happy? If so, happy days!
Stem export:
You can actually export ANY KIT as stem...HOWEVER...I have dedicated a special kit just for stem export no verb and everything panned up the middle so you can put it all in the spaces you want.
All kicks will go to one track
All snares to their own
All HiHats to a single track
Each tom and their corresponding variations will have its own track (along with rims)
Each cymbal will have its own track
From there you can add effects, EQ, pan, tweak, and geek all you want
Wow, that is some great stuff Derek!
Oh man this is like Christmas all over again!!!!
Ya, and this is with Derek dealing with Sub Zero Temps and dead car batteries! He still gets er done.
Anyone know an approximate ETA on this update?
Next week?
Is that a question?
Awesome stuff, can't wait!
Little delay in the update...squashing bugs..should have it out this week! Also...iPhone release due out next month
Thanks, Derek! Here is a video for you:
IAP's, some tool box type of packs would be awesome, Tom rolls, cymbal work, general stuff for fills and drum solo type work?
IAP store is on its way soon...MASSIVE amounts of loops in several genres...from 500-1000 loops in each loop pack
