  • Well I certainly don't wanna hanger anyone. A little humour is good stress reliever sometimes. I doubt though any company would post a product release a year in advance with an actual date but anything's possible. There are certainly stranger things in the universe. :)

I'm sure many Gadgeteers found your post to be very humorous, I just wanted to reassure any anxious users that they wouldn't be in limbo for another year. In their potentially vulnerable emotional state they might not have recognized your intentions and become needlessly stressed out. While many may reasonably believe my concern was in response to a non-existent problem, it seemed to me that for every confident Audiobus Forum poster there might be ten lurkers and one of these might have been adversely effected. Perhaps the lack of any emoji to highlight the humorous context of your original post and previous responses are what led to me deciding to respond with my latest understanding as to what was happening with the release. In addition, I don't monitor Korg websites 24/7 so I could only confirm what I found there when I checked.

@paradiddle I wouldn't think twice about your post. As far as stranger things happening in the universe, my response may certainly err on the side of being overly cautious. Users of the internet are bound to run into significantly more problematic material. I'm sure many people on the forum found your post very amusing.

  • Korg just delayed it to late march. Darn.

  • Thats OK Korg, test it good.

    Late march.

Curious as to what they discovered so late in their testing process that they decided to delay its release for another month.

  • No what's happening? - first the Oscars mess up - now this news. And Bill Paxton passing away too. What a day

  • Jakob, nice job breaking G3 ;)

  • Who really thought that Korg Gadget for Mac was ready for a release already?

They had nothing to show us on NAMM2017, so, why should this be ready just weeks after that?

I'll guessed late march from the beginning, and, that was a gut feeling I had then...

How many out there will go crazy now?

  • They forgot to add Kaoss pads. Its ok folks

  • One of the gadgets asked to be a widget...last minute

Maybe they compiled it as 32 bit by mistake. ;)

Also, misleading thread title, should be Kountup.

Now I'm pissed. It's OK to not have things ready for release right after NAMM, but fucking up a highly-anticipated release date is garbage.

Does this news mean BM3 could still be released before Korg Gadget 3. ;)

Seriously, I don't understand why Korg are delaying this as the app (as in most apps) will have bugs anyway. If the problem is on the Mac side then could they not release the update for iOS first. I also think it's ridiculous of Korg to fuck up a highly-anticipated release date and at the last minute!!!. We will just have to be patient and hope they don't fuck up the release date again.

  • I'm sure they must realize that this will only raise expectations

I hear you. I woke up to find Bill had died. So out of the blue. It was a sucker punch to the gut that knocked my whole day off track.

I can handle a Gadget release delay just fine. Waited this long for audio, what's a few more weeks? Life without more Bill Paxton to look forward to ... still trying to get my head around that.

    Might write a song.

Damn what were the chances of being delayed and me joking about it

  • Warren Beatty says update will be out tomorrow. Trust him.

  • Why donˋt we all adopt Trumpˋs ALTERNATIVE FACTS and believe that ALL updates weˋre waiting for are ALL
out TODAY.And those who are telling us something different are enemies of the people (in this case iOS musicians)
    !?

  • I feel very fortunate to be this (momentarily) frustrated about the release of a software product upgrade. Must have fewer problems in my life currently than I'd allowed myself to imagine....

And they wonder why a majority of people absolutely hate the fake media and those they cover. They all lie! Duh. Johnny is correct however, it is all about perspective. Are we men and women or are we snowflakes? We will suck it up and forge ahead , much as if we are chasing that elusive drink of water as we trudge across the dessert hoping once again it is not a mirage. Everyone go to your safe places while we wait now.

  • Dude, poor plan, trudging across this dessert is what got me so fat to start with...

  • Where is this safe place in times of Alternative Factism?
I donˋt worry too much about app-updates these days...

  • b..b...but.. there'll still be pancakes ...won't there?

  • I find it very strange how Korg gave an exact date of release on Gadget 3. All their other app releases and updates have landed on the App Store out of the blue without any targeted release date. If Korg had done the same for Gadget 3 then there wouldn't be as much disappointment from customers. Anyway, Modstep's update is going to keep me busy until Gadget 3 gets released.
