Where is this safe place in times of Alternative Factism?
I donˋt worry too much about app-updates these days...

Mine is right here in the recliner with a cold Pepsi and a big full tube of fresh O2. Waiting on the Drum Session update about to drop with new iap content( At least ,we think?)

I find it very strange how Korg gave an exact date of release on Gadget 3. All their other app releases and updates have landed on the App Store out of the blue without any targeted release date. If Korg had done the same for Gadget 3 then there wouldn't be as much disappointment from customers. Anyway, Modstep's update is going to keep me busy until Gadget 3 gets released.

Pretty strange that they announce the delay one day before original release?

It must have been rejected by Apples Appstore rules...
And, the rejectation demands a rewrite of the code in one particular section...

  • I guess they 'forgot' to add Midi-Tracks, Import & Export using 'Open In...' & 'iCloudDrive/iOS-FilePicker', Cut/Copy/Paste of a selection of Notes and Automation between patterns, Audio-Warp & Real-Time Stretch or maybe the 'Allihooplathing' was not 'prepared' for Gadget yet :D

That sucks... I hope Nintendo don't do the same with the Switch, or it would turn a highly anticipated week into a disapointment week on my side ;-)

My week is 'saved' with yet another BM3 beta in the evening but I was kinda looking forward to Gadget 3.0 in the evening since the time in Japan is +8 hours from me so when it's 4pm in Sweden on the 27th it's 00.00am on the 28th in Japan...

  • They forgot Klingonese in the language choices

  • Did they give a new release date or is it postponed indefinitely?

Late march or something, we could be in for an April 1st joke too...

Yeah this is what I think too...and my best guess would be that it is a security thing within the MAC/iOS sharing.

  • As I've understood it Gadget 3.0 for macOS would be available at Korgs own web-store and not thru the Apple Appstore?!

With the rumoured release of the new iPad Pro 2 sometime in March 2017, Korg could be waiting until that time before releasing Gadget 3 or it could indeed be a security thing with Apple.

Quite a bummer as I lined up an ableton collab but asked them to wait a couple weeks until Gadget updated since I planned to save myself a ton of time by using the new midi to Live project export in gadget to get the compositions started, and also because I'm kind of meh on Live and spend all my time in Logic.

Guess I'll have to take a different approach as it will make me look pretty damn bad if it doesn't make its next date.

Has Korg ever delayed an announced release before? I was under the impression you could take them to the bank, and give them all your money.

  • There is no way Gadget for Mac would be in the mac appstore. No one as big as Korg is going to throw 1/3 of their asking price away if they don't have to.

  • So bummed :-1: was really looking forward to finally getting the Audio Tracks they promised at launch years ago. So basically we may have to wait until March 31st to get this :confounded: hopefully it will be perfect and super stable by then.

  • Ouch, didn't expect this from Korg. I wasn't overly excited about this update anyway, maybe they can throw in some extra goodies in the extra time they gave themselves, like clip launching...

  • I'd just started to get excited, what a let-down. I bet it won't be March 31st either, sounds like their sales/marketing team aren't in sync with the devs.

  • In dreams you're mine, All of the time we're together.

But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.
    I can't help it, I can't help it, if I cry.

It's too bad that all these things, Can only happen in my dreams
Only in dreams, In beautiful dreams.

  • It's no great catastrophe, but I have actually found myself these past few — wow, weeks – hesitating to develop any songs further in anticipation of Gadget 3.0. It's a sign!

  • KORRRRRRGGGGGGG!

    (I love you really)

  • end of March 2017 or 2018? :D

  • my son is going to be six tomorrow and has been giving me a running countdown for the last couple of weeks, which in turn was a gadget reminder. the evil korg corporation is trying to ruin his birthday.

Just tell him his birthday just got delayed till end of March then lol

  • Wow, what a face plant.

  • dammit. now all the money i had ready to throw at the screen is wasted :(
guess i'm gonna go spend it partying instead at the carnival tomorrow.

  • I still can't understand why Korg all of a sudden, discovering 24 hour before release, that the product isn't ready for public...?

Not something Korg ever have done...

Yeah, the releases of some hardware synths have been delayed, like Oasys and Kronos, but, not any software from Korg...

They must have had lousy betatesters!

  • somebody smart at Korg probably realized that adding audio tracks puts the gadgets themselves in competition with not only other iOS synths but the vast multitude of desktop synths and sound modules as well. This on top of the fact that it comes with a hefty price tag begs the question: what exactly does Gadget offer in terms of starting and finishing a project within it other than the decent sounds and simplified workflow? And they're literally advertising it as a "second daw". Perhaps it was thought more was needed to draw users to work entirely in Gadget. I know for iOS at least, a simple solution is Kaoss(ilator) pads. Found in virtually all of their other apps. We can only hope.

  • Maybe they handed the press department the wrong envelope?
