I’m starting to think it’s my Air 1.. I think drag and drop is handicapped on this model.

Ok, dudes.. iPad Air 1.. why doesn’t drag and drop work with one finger? Have to tap BM3 with another while holding the sample...

    Works fine for me.

And maybe it's better to hold for a 3.0.6 update for the AUv3 fix .

That could be a good call. I tend to wait for the weekend to do a big backup before updating most things now too.

  • 3.0.5 update hits UK AppStore.

  • 3.0.5 has landed here in Sweden too.
There were some AUv3 related fixes squeezed in into this update as well...

  • I have to say, it crashes a lot. I did press 5-6 times the undo button and it crashed. Also, when I duplicated the pattern and wanted to move it to the position that I like, it created the empty pattern. Does everyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong? Same goes when I press - repeat pattern.

I have incorporated the crashes into my music, creating an accidental type of genre called Crashstep.

Does the 3.0.5 update fix the piano roll problem where there is no sound pressing notes on the piano roll in pattern mode?

    Yes, it's working again...
    (Triggers both samples and AUv3's).

Eek! See yah in .06... or .07... :hushed:

(PS. Those double arrow 'change start point' grabbers on the front of the pattern look sweet!)

I think you are ‘extending’ the clip by dragging... try ‘touching’ the top of the clip (blue part) then drag to move..

Good! It's landed in the UK too :)

  • The < > arrows are for moving a clip and the > is for extending or shortening it.
The same arrows are used in the pattern editor to modify selected events.

For me to when I got home. And I´ve tried the 3.0.5 It just opens and crashes instantly after opening screen. Over and over again! Gaaaaahh!

Same things happens when I click repeat. I click on the pattern, but it repeats itself as an empty pattern. This only happens if I have pattern 3, then pattern 4 next to it. And if I want to copy/duplicate pattern 3, it creates an empty pattern before I even touch it.

At least you'll be providing them with more crash-logs if WiFi is enabled...
Out of curiosity what iPad are you running on and what iOS version??

The new moving labels are nice in the piano role, it wasnt obvious before how to move notes around. Could some kind soul please tell me how to transpose notes or even move them in a vertical direction using the new version. I imagine moving vertically is still possible somehow but I cant remember ever seeing a transpose button option. Hope Im wrong.

Sure you can move the notes vertically (i suggested an alternate cross-arrow for this to indicate movement in all direction but i guess someone 'forgot' to put it there). Also the long overdue 'process events' is still not available (my suggestions here are to easily set duration of the selected notes, transpose them and do 'midi time stretch' among other things). The requests are known and just waiting to get implemented at some point in time...

    Yes, it's working again...
    (Triggers both samples and AUv3's).

It was working but since starting a new project and loading Model 15 AUv3 the piano roll doesn't work as there is no sound when playing the vertical piano roll. Arrrrgggggg!! :(

Make a bug-report (the proper way) with all the device info, it's working for me...

  • Hi,

I only see 3.04 as new update. Do I have to update to 3.04 and them after 3.05 will show up and update from there?

Thanks, two little things that might be worth mentioning.

Edit (this bit seems broke and reported by other in 3.05, I was still using 3.03)
(When you get that dotted helper lines around a note or group of selected notes the bottom horizontal grab dotted line doesnt seem to achieve anything, the top one works as a grab bar. )

But yes, maybe obviously, when selecting a group of notes you can also select anywhere with difficulty (try the start or end!) inside the selection to move them around.

I do like the grab lines and I like BM3 as a midi editor. I think your suggestion for note type functions will be an important step forward but I can make do with manual transpose for now.

    I already have done.

  • Before I update since I’m still on 3.0.3, can you open older sessions and edit the AU instrument? I know that was causing crashes in 3.0.4
