It’s not in the U.S. store either. At least not from where I’m standing.
Disappointing that it looks like the new AppStore is broken...
Meanwhile I guess the big question now is, how long before AB3 supports apps like Odessa @Michael ?
It would be good to be able to apply AB3 midi filters to Odessa midi.
I made a bad joke about the campaign slogan of the US president ("Make America Great Again" - MAGA) and compared it with Apple ("It just works"). I have to admit i don't wear a MAGA-cap, but from time to time (professional work) an Apple cap or such, because they want me to do that. Personally, sometimes it feels in the same way totally hollow.
No politics intended, just a bit joking around.
No, that "available in the US App Store" is a totally nonsense error message. What they mean is "we can't find the app yet". But they decided to confuse everyone and suggest that the app is available in the US. The message has been around for years and it still doesn't make any sense.
@brambos thanks for the confirmation. Also, based on the comment by @Carnbot above, does your new app not work with Audiobus? Perhaps I wasn’t paying attention... since it was posted here in the AB forum I just assumed it would work? So does this make it stand alone, or a plug-in for other apps?
Thanks again for all the amazing apps.
Not available via my ios10x version either, so not down to the new Store design.
I don’t think the midi out will work until AB3 updates to allow it as AUM had to update.
This is dreadful, I have videos waiting to go here for Odessa an Kauldron
It's a collection of plugins based on the new MIDI Audio Unit standard introduced in iOS11. It will work in any host that supports MIDI AUs and lets you route the outgoing MIDI to an AU synth or app. AUM is the first host to fully support this, but hopefully other AU hosts will follow soon (it probably helps that there are now actually plugins to test with
)
Guys, I'm really sorry for this delay.
I was wishing for a nice app to drop on my birthday tomorrow and now the universe is doing its thing etc.
You should be able to host these in AUM and route them into Audiobus Midi by way of Midiflow Adapter, unless I'm mistaken.
Sure, once you send it out of AUM (just route the MIDI to an external destination) it's just MIDI like any other MIDI. So anything that can receive MIDI can use this - even your hardware MIDI setup.
America first (soz can’t keep politics out of IOS)
It would say ‘it’s only available in Russian AppStore’ if the Russian hackers had anything to do with it.
@brambos Awesome. Thanks for confirming.
Here's some cool old school while ya'll waiting. I'm off to bed.
Finally! It's up in The Netherlands now!
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/odessa-sequencer-suite/id1292546479?ls=1&mt=8
And in UK, just grabbed it!
It’s in the U.K. store now. Bought
Still on the plane to Oz, I’ll grab it off Doug’s link when the vid goes up.
Jason Donnelly / iPadLoops has the first Odessa Jam on Youtube
So without AUM this is pretty much a waste of money then right?
Just showed up here in Atlanta @brambos Bought and going in!
in the netherlands...... in da ''pocket'', lets jam!!
Can't see it here still, maybe I'm on the Welsh store.
Until other hosts adopt this new standard that's correct.
Well, as a Russian company was sold 20% of US uranium, they should have plenty of power!
Back on topic, I just checked and my UK App Store is not showing Odessa. How this can be, I have no idea. But it’s common for apps to show up with a listing that tells me they were out two or three days ago....just not showing up for me, until Apple allows. It isn’t a setting, so I am baffled.
The new App Store sucks more than a Dyson factory!
Here is my setting up and getting started video

Here's the Odessa Link via Doug's storefront:

@brambos Thanks again for all the info. I have held off on AUM, but you might have pushed me to the edge.
It’s also available in Japan now.
That works. Thanks.
