    Tracks made on the app will likely need minimal mastering because of the sheer quality of the compression and eq within it.

    It will be the biggest app of 2018 and take iOS music to a far different height and get massive media attention

    I think you're overexaggerate the whole thing...

    Beatmaker 3, Cubasis and Auria Pro (and perhaps FL Studio Mobile) - do we need another DAW for iOS?

    I'm more than pleased with wonderful Beatmaker 3 and high quality Auria Pro (with full IAP from Fabfilter)...

    And, I agree with @Samu that it certainly not will be a universal app already in march...

    How do I exaggerate? Did you listen to the blip interactive SoundCloud demos?? That’s fully pro music right there. I’ve heard nothing that comes even close to that from the other daws you mention . If I’m wrong, send me a link...

    The obsidian synth is a killer

    And those that used ns1 know that the workflow of blip interactive apps is a joy

    And... yes we need more daws, the market is over flooded with synths and fx apps but only a few daws

    Off the top of my head as far as daw type apps, we have:

    NS1

    FL Mobile

    BM2
    BM3
    Music Studio
    Isequence hd

    Likely I missed something

    But that’s just ten and it won’t be over 15

    Yeah the demos are great but there is absolutely no reason you couldn't do similar tracks in any of the other DAWs we already have.

    Check out this guys channel for some nice hip hop production featuring BM3. Maybe it's not your style of music but you can't say it isn't professional.

    Yep, there’s no reason why those demos can’t be done similar in other daws, but..none have produced anything of that calibre yet

    As far as the hip hop you linked, that vid? The sounds are very basic, there’s not much layers to the song...it’s very simple like you could make on imaschine or something. I’ve not heard the sampling potential that many gush over actually demonstrated properly yet

    Hip hop music is very abc and doesn’t require much attention to detail and is far from a complex art form

    Instead of waiting to hear someone else impress you with the sampling aspect of BM3 you should just spend some time on it yourself ;)

    Layers per pad. Fx per layer. Ton of modulation per pad and per layer. Timestrech per layer. Pad link. Roll pad. X/y. Macros. List goes on.... Its all there on paper and not something you can really dispute ;)

    Just needs warp markers and modulation of sample start point/loop window and job done. But even as it is, it's super powerful and possibilities are endless. Maybe the people using it in ways that would impress you are just using it on records and not on YouTube demos ;)

    Re sweeping statement like 'hip hop is far from a complex art form'..wow....that's just asking for grief.. Some hip hop is simple (intentionally maybe...) some of its insanely well crafted. Same as every other genre. And same as ever other genre, its down to the person making it, not the daw ;)

    I don't often listen to hiphop since early 90s. But I see enough people posting interesting stuff on software/hardware forums now and again to know it's alive and well ;) And this stuff I hear is just from average dudes in bedrooms. So I take it for granted that even better stuff is going down elsewhere and inspiring them ;) maybe someone else can drop some links to blow your mind :)

    Dude what are you talking about?? Hiphop is still hiphop. It evolved in to itself. Maybe some stuff spun off along the way and became other things but that happens with all music. Those early hiphop artists you mention evolved from music that came before and social conditions and hiphop was born. There are some producers doing amazing work in hiphop these days. Just not very often on the radio. Seek and ye shall find...

    You are free to disagree but the original method of hip hop was in the usage of breaks, that of course has been taken to the next level by other genres.

    Still liking the „Bite me“ Bass from Blip SoundCloud teaser. Sounds kinda neurofunk-ish for me. That kind of bass is not often to find on iOS. Maybe I don’t know how to use the knobs on my synth but then you can lead me to some tutorials? Would love to craft (neuro)bass sound like this on my pad.

    BM3 is amazing. Took me some time to get to it but the modulation automation is insane on this machine!

    I hear more basses in that track, not just one .. sounds like at least 2 different patches layered together .. i bet those will be as factory patches n NS2, so you just need a wait for a while :-)

    Yep, @Love3quency’s invocation of Islam was a clumsy mistake. A bit more care, please l3f! Before that, though, it all looked innocent enough to me.

    I think @tja has the right idea. Assume goodwill, and goodwill Ye shall find. Seems to me the point where this thread really went off the rails was where people started jumping all over l3f, which seems to be happening a lot.

    My advice, in general: always try to step up and be the adult in the room, whoever you are. If you do that, it’s much less likely things will get out of control.
