Sounds like a lot of my other synths to be honest, but has a really good interface and is a steal at 2.99
I still have a Casio CZ-3000. It was my first synth, bought new back in the 80s.
I'm looking to get it resurrected. It needs new batteries.
They'll cost about the same as Phase84.
Phase 84 is universal, NPD is iPad only. I didn't look further than that. I'm using my phone more than my iPad for Music creation these days and appreciate universal apps much more.

That's a good question which I asked too. But at 2.99, I didn't have a phase distortion synth already, it has an interesting trance gate type thing and a couple of other features which means it could find a unique place in my setup.
Some of the presets had a unique timbre which is what helped me towards a purchase.

I’m not really a Retronyms fan, but since they made Phase84 AU I figure it’s worth giving a bit of support to encourage good behavior.
It’s definitely able to bring a darker, edgier sound, which is great for pads and trance leads, as well as some really fat sounding basses.

Yep, I recall Tabletop as being a bit of a clunky faff way back when & have never delved into any of their others but as with all iOS synths, this one has it’s own thing going.
