It may take a couple hours before it shows up in the App Store, but let me know if you don't see it after a while. Hope that works for you!

Unfortunately, when I run the standalone, it starts with a black screen and nothing happens. It also fails to load in an IAA host.
Same thing is happening here (iOS 12.3.1)
Thanks for the info. I'm trying to reproduce the behavior now (in a simulator because I don't have an iOS 12 device handy). Hope I can resolve it quickly!

@rs2000 @espiegel123 Okay. I was able to reproduce the issue on a dedicated iOS 12.0 build simulating for iPad Air 2. Seems to come down to a single variable in one of the files. With that updated, it's working as intended. I'll test a bit more to make sure that truly all there is, and then re-submit to the App Store.

I'd be happy to beta test it via Test Flight if you need confirmation before it goes live.
@espiegel123 Thanks for the offer to Test Flight it, but the review process somehow took longer to prepare the test than to go through the release channel. Since it's just a couple lines of code (and the current version, 4.0.1 wasn't working on iOS 12 devices), I'm going to push it straight to the App Store.

Great app, but can’t get it working either IAA or Audiobus 2 into BeatMaker 3 or GarageBand?
@jangomango18 Inter-App Audio requires the app to stay alive in the background, and by default, Firo4 is a "good citizen" and fully releases all resources when not connected. Audiobus can launch into the app, so that should work without any extra steps.
To use IAA with Firo4, first make sure you set the "IAA / MIDI Input" to Enabled in the Advanced Settings section from the info overlay.

Did you turn on Audio+Midi in Firo?
It works fine in Audiobus 3 under iOS 12.3.1. Btw, unless there is a compelling reason for you not to upgrade, AB 3 is great and has benefited from years of stability and feature enhancements.
For those trying bluetooth: The latest version of Firo4 (v4.0.3) adds support for bluetooth / AirPods output. It's still not the best way to play/listen (since it adds ~140msec of delay), but if you're on the go and only have bluetooth headphones it should be handy.
Let me know what you think if you give it a try. I also tightened up the UI a bit.

Adam, could you look into the sample rate when using Bluetooth? On my iphone 6s plus, the Bluetooth sound from Firo is a bit more lofi compared to say when i listen to Groovebox in Bluetooth mode which sounds hifi. I think there’s a sample rate issue going on. I heard the iPhones are set at 48k but perhaps you can look into this?
Just tested it in AudioBus 3 and it is hifi sound when hosted and using Bluetooth; Only lofi sound in standalone.
Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. There are a couple different bluetooth protocols and I may just need to enable a flag somewhere in the code to help it prioritize the hifi connection when available.
What exactly does the auto chord automation do? I recorded a loop amd it shows “Auto” in the play box. Pretty cool!

When you record a loop and press a chord it can either:
1. (default) just record the notes that were played.
2. (automation) record the notes, along with info to replay the chord as if you just pressed it, which has the effect of also changing the very bottom notes on the keyboard section (autoharp/zither). As such, you can record a chord progression, and then automate it back so that playing subsequent parts can use notes that are in the chord.
