I'm pretty sure a technological singularity happens somewhere in the intersection.
A lot apparently, after using it and going through the presets, as well as making a few of my own, it can do quite a lot. The envelope, which has touch screen abilities to adjust the slopes and add/remove nodes is really cool, it can add lush reverby type sounds, early delay-ish stuff, a granular like effect (what I’m calling it) with bits and pieces of sound that can basically create a 10 second soundscape with one plucked note, you can add some decay to sounds, and more. It’s really quite versatile, unique, intuitive, and sounds great. Lush, Athmospheric, Experimental, Unique type sounds can be created from virtually any audio input.
Throw the acronym GOAT in and you’re all set. Lol.

Worth the 25 clams?
This app makes the iPad shine. It's subjective, but it's really fun.
If you want to try something similar for free, there is a app by the same developper (TC_Performer).
The basic version of TC_Performer is free. A lot less option, but it will give you an idea.
If it was an hardware synth, people would pay a lot of money for this kind of synth.
And, sometimes I don't want to pay 25$ for a cool synth, but don't mind paying 12,50$ for so so apps.
I know, it’s crazy, these 7.99s and 12.99s add up quick. That’s why if they’re 20 bucks or more, I really need to consider whether it’s something I need or not. Not to mention I’m out of space as it is on my Pro 11 (64GB)
These obscure apps sometimes I’ll buy for 20 - 30 bucks and they’ll just sit there taking up space, never getting used. Wotja is a good example. Borderlands... I think I’ve tried it once?
Not for iOS but for desktop, found an insane deal last night that I wanted to share.
Plugin Boutique has Breaktweaker Expanded Edition (by IoZotope) on sale for $9.99. Normally $249.00. The standard version is still selling everywhere for $199.00 (as far as I know, only difference is that expanded edition comes with 5 sound packs and the regular version only comes with 1).
I’ve wanted this for a while, it’s a hell of a lot of fun but no way I was going to pay that much. Super stoked to find this, I bought it last night, love it.
For anyone else that grabs it for this price, I only have one simple request: after you install the app and all the sound packs and everything is fully operational, please email iozotope and tell them what you think of that whole experience (if you haven’t jumped off the nearest bridge yet that is). To me, they take the cake for being the worst customer experience from the time the money leaves your account to the time you are fully up and running and enjoying their software. Maybe that won’t be your experience (I hope not!) but if it is, I hope they listen!

It really is! I have gone to try to buy it a couple of times in the past and was shocked at how much it was. BT must require a big cut! No idea how it works with plugin alliance but I’ve probably picked up 4-5 head scratchers like this over the years (where you’re left wondering what the catch is....). Seems like they would be more like to offer up the $199 version so you’d at least feel compelled to buy the add on sound packs after the fact! Glad someone else snagged it! It’s a lot of fun! 👊
