For those who like delay, this is 3 really cool apps at a great price.

Modelayrium is like 8 Au fx in one.

Touch Viz is on sale ($4.99 instead of $9.99)
I am always hesitant to buy it. Do you guys like it?

    https://apps.apple.com/app/id486139371?ign-mpt=uo=4

It's quite a unique app for launching video snippets, crossfading between two clips and adding a few (simple) FX.
Clips can be pre-loaded by MIDI Note on messages but there's a short delay so you better load it on the opposite channel from the crossfader position.
I hoped for it to support jumping to clip positions using MIDI CC (for rhythmic video jumps accompanying my music) but that's not supported unfortunately.

Thanks for the info! Is it like resolume? Can you make the clips follow the beat of a song (I watched a YT video but was not sure if it can launch audio clips or only videos)? And last but not least, do you recommend it despite the shortcomings you mentioned?

Well, read my post again 😉
Resolume was exactly what I had in mind, but the app is more about adding dynamic effects to two different clips that can be crossfaded between. Most Fx can be adjusted by moving the finger on the video window like an XY pad, or by MIDI messages and that's probably its most useful application.

  • Oh and btw, the Ambeo can also be used for monitoring while recording from the stereo microphones in an iOS DAW.

Sweet, I think I got a better grasp of what it is doing. Thanks!

The sub price actually seems ok. Unfortunately no subscriptions is my policy. If they had an outright price I'd probably compare it to Notion but no point for me.

I appreciate the honesty of this post. 👌 I read through the app description and had to realise how utterly non-existent my knowledge of Indian classical music terms was!

    It's loading up okay here.
This is on my iOS 13.4 idevice.

It came up with a notification saying ,'downloading',
the first couple of times I instantiated it and
then after I had left it to do it's thing,
it opened up and is now working okay.

It's for learning and practicing tabla technique and the accompanying forms.
It's beneficial for beginners and for the more advanced players.

There are many,'genres', in Indian classical music, the same
for many other musics from the neighbouring regions.
Though it focuses on tablas, it could be used by anyone
who has more than a passing interest in folkoric rhythms.
